Clean and operational 2.5 gallon stainless steel water type fire extinguisher. Shines really nice. Unit will be shipped empty. This extinguisher is generally clean. Just some light scratches and some age wear. Shines up nicely. Just un screw the collar, fill the tank with water, then pressurize with compressor or air pump. I use a small tire compressor that connects from cigarette lighter in the car. This would be great for the campground, patio fire pit, race track, or welding shop. Also, great on the farm, multiple uses. Fire extinguisher has dial gauge to see when the unit is full or empty. Rubber hose is fine, and nozzle tip is intact, no breaks. A 1 Quart Brass Pyrene Fire Extinguisher with a painted Red Stripe on the bottom ring. No. U 579962. Used for Type B-2 and C-2 fires. In excellent condition for its age. Not full. All liquid has been removed. This has never been polished since it was bought it appears. There are scrapes in the old laquer finish and I see some small droplets of pink paint on the brass that should flick off without a problem. From an Estate Sale were I removed it from the wall in a closet in the bedroom. The house had been unoccupied for 21 years. Wall bracket has some white paint on one side from when they painted the wall. The bracket is in great condition aside from the paint. It weighs over 6 pounds so best to ship USPS Large Flat Rate. Vintage 1963 General Fire Extinguisher WS-800b - Water or Anti Freeze
Vintage 1963 General Fire Extinguisher Model WS-800b- Water or Anti Freeze Made in 1963 by: The General Fire Extinguisher Corp. with locations in Chicago IL& Culver City CA. Purchased from an Estate Sale a few years ago. In beautiful condition. W hen purchased. The tank was full of water, so it was tested and it had good pressure. I believe that water was the only liquid ever used because the Tank is very clean inside. Operation: Fill tank with Water or Anti Freeze. Add air at valve. When needed for fire: pull pin and squeeze handle. The liquid and pressurized air are both realeased from hose while squeezing the handle- point tip of the hose towards the fire to be extinguished. Unit has normal scratches. The glass insert portion of the fire extinguisher measures 11" long. The directions on the bottom tell you throw contents forcibly at base of fire by quick swinging motions. The fire extinguisher is in good condition with no chips or cracks. This is a nice early fire extinguisher.

Vintage Brass Fyr-Fyter Fire Extinguisher Circa 1924 Fire Fighter
Up for your consideration is a vintage brass Fyr-Fyter fire extinguisher which I believe dates to circa 1924 based on the patent dates(see pics) I found this extinguisher in an old house in Chicago in 2007 that the family had been living in since it was built circa 1918. I cleaned it up slightly to get some paint splatter that was on it from someone painting a basement. This is a great collectible for someone that is into vintage fire fighting equipment. This extinguisher is in used old condition and IS EMPTY. There are a couple very small dings. Scratches, and other wear from a piece that is nearing 90 years old. Vintage 1940's/ 50's push-button home and auto refillable Fire Extinguisher with box. Bracket and original mounting screws. There is also a 1957 receipt for 1 CRI Pyrene Fluid in the box from Fochtman Motor Co. Petoskey, Michigan. The extinguisher itself is in excellent condition. No dents, no fading. It looks like its never been mounted or used. The label on the extinguisher says what to do before the fire. During the fire, and after the fire. All very readable. The bracket is also in excellent shape. No dents, no fading, just a couple of small paint chips by the Pyrene label. The Box is complete with some inside structure to hold the extinguisher in place. The box has some wear but no tears to the box and the wording can be easily read. There is some smudging to the box and some corner wear. Up for bid is a vintage Natkin& Company. UL Listed, galvanized steel, pump fire extinguisher from Brielle Fire Department. i believe New Jersey) It has a wood"T" handle. The pump needs some lubrication to ease operation. It is missing the rubber hose off the rear. It dry rotted and is gone. I estimate the extinguisher to be over 70 years old. A fellow E Bay’er shared this history with me… This is a Civil Defense fire extinguisher. They were issued to volunteers during World War Two for suppressing incendiary bomb fires. Units were made with a large fill opening for filling while in use. The two handles were for carrying the extinguisher by two wardens or auxiliary firefighters to avoid exhausting them during longer carries. The large pump handle allowed the pump man to apply enough force to obtain a stream with a long reach ... moreto stay out of the range of the spatters of molten magnesium thrown off by the incendiary. The nozzle man would crawl toward the incendiary using his saucer helmet and a metal trash can lid to shield him from the spattering magnesium. The long hose kept the pump man out of immediate danger so he could work upright. The nozzle was fitted with a deflector that when put in place would make a fan shaped spray for wetting adjacent combustibles while the incendiary burned out. Items are sold as is.
