W.D. Allen Mfg Co. Copper Fire Extinguisher. This is in good shape for its age. It is atleast 100 years old. I have not cleaned this at all. The condition can be seen clearly from the pictures. There is a small dent that you can see if you are in the correct lighting in the lower section of the plate with all of the writting on it. This could easily be popped out if you wanted to from inside. Otherwise it is in great condition. This would make a great decorater peice or just a nice item for your collection. It measures approximately 23.75 inches high and 7 inches across the bottom. I have not cleaned this for fear of removing the patina and/or causing any damage. The extinguisher has scratches. White and black paint splatters, tarnish and a dried white plaster-like substance. Antique Solid Brass Fire Extinguisher-The General Detroit Corp.-Pump Type-Empty
Listing this as I see it and what I can read on it. This is a Antique Brass Pump Type Fire Extinguisher made by The General Detroit Corp. The part stamped in the oval circle closest to the top says: GENERAL QUICKAID FIREGUARD and underneath that Heavy Duty and Model 85. Most of the rest I cannot read well. My eyes are too old and lighting is not the best this time of night, not to mention that it is pretty scratched. There is also a# on the bottom front which may be a serial# and that# I believe reads NO.79168. This Extinguisher is empty. I cannot see a date on it anywhere. About 13" tall and 9" in diameter. Collect or save it for the scrap brass value, metals are going up. PLEASE LOOK AT MY OTHER ITEMS!

Vintage Fireen Fire Extinguisher This is a great vintage fire extinguisher by the Safety First Fire Extinguisher Company out of Allentown. Penna. It still full and in unopened condition. It still has the nice bright red color and gold lettering. spots of rust covering extinguisher but nothing major. No major dents. Two small dings. It measures 12" tall and 10" around. It weighs approximately 5lbs. It has the ring on top to open the can and throw the powder onto the fire. It is filled with dry chemical powder and contains NO CARBONTETRACHLORIDE. Take a look at the close up pictures to see the wonderful condition. I will ship it out in one or less days and pack it right. You are bidding on a vintage fire extinguisher made by the Dugas Engineering company. This item was purchased recently from a local estate sale but I haven't been able to find out much about it or the Dugas Engineeri ng. Though they are an old MA based company that appears to still b e in business. The extinguisher measures approximately 22" in height and 5" in diameter and comes with what appears to be its original rubber hose. Overall condition is VG+. Though there are some dents to the face plate. T here are otherwise no serious dents or dings. Or obvious cosmetic damage. This is a unique old dry powder extinguisher. Made by La May Manufacturing Incorporated in Rochester. NY. It has polished brass ends. They fit into mounting brackets with the bottom bracket being spring loaded. Simply pull down to unload and then you throw the dry powder at the fire. You are buying a very nice antique Pyrene Fire Ext inguisher No. R 329615. Patent No. 1.688,195 w hi ch was granted in 1928. This is in very good vintage condition. It has been polished. So most of the in k that was in the engraving is gone. There is some green patina where things screw on(top. Tip and nut on top for example) that can be seen in the photos but is very h ard to see in person. This has light surface scratches and two very small dents. Both on the top portion. One is to the right of the ha ndle and one is to the left of the handle on the rim. Empty as required. This is embossed G.W.T.W. on the top as shown. I don't know wh at that stands for(I've researched it and only came up with Gone With The Wind. Although, oddly enough, their tradem ark information covers fire e xtinguishers specifically! Up for your consideration. We have this ELKHART BRASS WATER STORED PRESSURE FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITH GAUGE AND HOSE ~ 2.5 GALLON. This extinguisher has been tested and does work. Due to weight the item has been emptied. The tag is from the last inspection in 1976. And front label states tested to 500 LBS. Item comes with operating instructions on the front label.
