VINTAGE METAL PORCELAIN INDUSTRIAL FIRE ALARM SIGN FOR TRIP ALARM BELLS
You are bidding on a vintage(circa. Early 1900's) porcelain coated, metal fire alarm sign. This type of sign was used with pull-rod fire alarm systems that were attached to trip and/or clapper bells. The sign measures 15" X 5" and with the exception of a small portion that has been cut out in the lower left hand corner, is in good condition. The sign does have some historical value and would be great for any collector of such memorabilia.

Vintage Fire Alarm Box NYC East 10th street 1900s with fire station instructions
The fire box was mounted on a loft wall inside a light industrial loft building on East 10th Street in New York City. It was removed when the building floor was converted to a residential dwelling in the early 1970s. The box weighs ten pounds and is approximately 7" high by 5" wide by 5" deep. The last time it was inspected was 1917 and there is an inspection sticker on the inside of the door. I do not know the age of the fire box. There is a fair amount of rust- particularly on the inside of the door that I did not attempt to clean. The paint is flaking off. The printed instructions include the fire house phone number and instructions to employees but it is faded where information was typed onto the sheet.

Vintage Cast Iron GAMEWELL Utility Box w/Key~Fire Police Alarm
This is a great old cast iron box made in New York by The Gamewell Co. Not sure it was used for. No alarm equipment inside. One resistor type piece inside with a Rare Gas Arrester attached. It is a heavy cast iron box and comes with the original key. The latch on the door works great. Looks too have been painted a few times. Grinding marks on the front. Writing or something may have been ground off the center of the door. Measures about 13" tall, 9" wide, and 5" deep. It is straight and very good used condition.
