The lens is Amber Plastic and has some minor scratches. But no cracks, or chips. If you need a different color dome I can probably help you out. The base has decent chrome with very minor scratches and pitting. The tag is in good condition, and is stamped as a model 173. Unfortunately somewhere in the past the tag got switched. 19" Fire Truck Chrome Resonating Horn, Federal Signal Corp Model 58 Tested Siren
This is a resonating horn that was mounted on a fire truck. And was manufactured by the Federal Signal Corporation. The plate reads: 12 volts, 8 amps, model 58, and serial no. B1. This is an all self contained electric horn and needs no air supply. I had my mechanic check this horn out at his garage and it does work, I heard it, and it is loud. It is about 19 inches long, 6 1/2 inches wide at the housing, 5 1/4 inches at the bell end, and 8 1/2 inches from the housing to the bottom of the mounting bracket. This horn is very heavy, almost 9 pounds. I have a copy of the instruction sheet that I will include. The only bad spot of chrome is a very small area around the housing screw. This has been well taken care of. All is shown in the photos, and nothing is hidden. Both of the mounting brackets are complete but, the floating bracket needs a ... morenut and screw. The rubber in the floating bracket seems good. This was grounded by the mounting, so there is no ground wire, only the positive. Federal AM 864/U Tube Amplifier(Limiter/Compressor/Preamplifier) I bought this from the original owners estate. I do not know if it works so I am selling it AS-IS for parts or repair. I do not know much about these. I took it to a buddy of mine. He said the tubes were average strength. We did power it up and the light came on and the tubes lite up. We had no way to fully test it. Serial# 983. It has several scratches/wear. As you can see the fuse cap is missing. If you look inside the fuse holder was bypassed. My friend said it would not hold a fuse anyway. He theories that the fuse holder probably got bumped and cracked and would not hold a fuse so they just bypassed it. see last photo) Please look carefully at the pictures and bid accordingly. I do not know if it works. I will try to answer any questions.
