This square cast aluminum grill or escutcheon measures about 13 7/8 inches by 13 7/8 inches. And is approximately 1/8 inch thick. These vintage kitchen exhaust fans were made. Starting in the late 1940s, and sold from the late 1940s to mid 1950s. On the rear of the grill is a casting number: 4248. There are no cracks in this used metal grill. There are various scratches and small specks of paint on the surface of the grill. And it is not perfectly straight, but would satisfy all but the pickiest person searching for a replacement vintage grill for a 60 year old exhaust fan.
