HOMEMADE VINTAGE BOX FAN w/ ANTIQUE REDMOND EXHAUST FAN INSIDE 1550rpm!
This is a handcrafted box fan made of wood panels surrounding an old Redmond Company electric fan unit that looks like an attic fan or wall exhaust fan. The fan has 12-inch aluminum blades covered by heavy-duty chicken wire. The Owosso. Michigan-made Redmond motor is marked as a model 4163. Its metal tag labels it as a 1/30HP 1.3amp 1550rpm unit at 95 watts. The entire unit measures 19 inches x 19 inches x 10.5 inches. The fan shows normal wear from use, and there is some rust and flaking paint on the fan's black framing, but no other serious cosmetic defects. It is tested and works very well. This is a vintage Nutone model#8210 vent fan. Its all original and has the chrome cover. I think this unit looks to be 100% complete but please see all the photos to make sure. You can turn the fan by hand and it feels like the grease has hardened over time. I plugged it in and it made a humming sound but the blade did not turn. I am not sure if the motor just needs cleaned or if there is another problem. I will pack this unit well and ship it for $16. Thanks and good luck.
