MATCHED PAIR OLD GALVANIZED OAR LOCK FOR BOAT DECOR
This is a matched pair of old used galvanized oar locks we found in boat salvage yard on the Washington coast. First 2 pics are 1 and second 2 pics are the other one. These are used for holding the oars of a small rowboat. The opening of each one measures about 1+7/8 inches wide and the shaft is 9/16 inch diameter and tapers to 1/2 inch diameter. Both oar locks are used and worn but would be great for reuse or decorating a nautical room. This is an antique front door knob and lock set that came from an old home north of Pittsburgh that was being updated. The decorative parts appear to be brass. Although the door and keyhole escutcheons have a copper or bronze look. The original screws with the exception of one missing flat head wood screw are included. Antique Aesthetic black porcelain Door Knob Plate mortise lock Box Set and key
This antique mortise lock set is in the Aesthetic style. The back plates are 5.25' x 1.75' The plates are steel. The knobs are black porcelain. The only marked part is the box which is marked Skilman. The plates are bare steel with no finish. The box comes with a functional key. The lock faceplate is 7/8' x 5 1/2' The box may be opened and the catch bolt can be reversed for doors that swing the other way. The spindle also comes with the set screws, everything shown in the first photo is included. Circa 1890 or earlier, a nice antique set. If there are questions please ask them early. I have more back plates like these, but this is the last set I have with the black doorknobs.

Item description Antique Russell& Erwin bronze door lock set c.1875. Typically outstanding R&E design and construction. This is a great classic period lock set in excellent condition that does not look anything like its 100+ year age. The knobs are beautifully detailed front and back with matching round escutcheons. There is minimal wear to any of the pieces. The mortise lock is for a right hand swing door only and is not reversible. The lock has tight springs and is in excellent working order. The last photo speaks to the condition of the lock's internal components. The locks backset is 2 5/8" and the face plate is 6 1/2" x 1 1/8" The lock box is 4 1/4" tall x 9/16" thick x 3 1/2" deep. The escutcheons are 2" in diameter and the knobs are 2 1/4" in diameter. The keyhole covers are 2 1/8" ... morex 1 1/8" The set includes one solid bronze faced right hand swing mortise lock. Two cast bronze knobs, two cast bronze knob escutcheons, two matching keyhole covers, and a working vintage key. Also included is a reconditioned knob spindle and two new set screws. The spindle set screw holes have been deburred so the screws turn in easily. This is a very nice functioning lock set ready to be installed with no broken or missing parts. I do have an inventory of vintage brass and steel door strike plates. If you need one let me know and I'll check for a plate that fits. If available the cost is an additional $8 for a brass plate and $5 for a steel plate. If your going to spend real money on a vintage lock set you should expect no broken or missing parts. Pieces that have not been abraded and diminished by sand blasting, wire brushing or excessive polishing and at a minimum the ability to make a return. It is 5.5 cm( 2.2 inches) long. 4 cm( 1.5 inches) tall at the hoop and. 1 cm( 4 inches) thick and weighs 60 grams. The patina is perfect and uncleaned. This is one exceptionally beautiful and solid piece of handcrafting. The lock works by shoving the key in the front of the lock and pushing until the tail piece comes out making it able to be put in the lock loos of a door or cabinet. An antique or vintage machinist or specialty wooden case with 5 d rawers in original finish with Ea gle Lock Co lock. The case. 14 1/2" wide by 12 1/2" high and 12" deep, is in nice, original, mahogany-color finish.I'm not sure of t he wood but I would guess birch veneer. it is in excellent condition with two small veneer repairs on the bottom corners and a tape mark on the top running down about 2" And weighs just over 13 lbs. It is dovetailed on the outside with nickel plated corner mounts. A drop front that can slide back into the bottom with 5 interior drawers(2 large and 3 smaller) measuring 1 1/2" and 1 3/4" deep.there is an open space on the left of the case that may have had a small microscope or instrument. I haven't done a lot of research on the case and I'm sure that there is someone out ... morethere that would venture an opinion. The handle has some leather missing with metal exposed and I toyed with the idea of taking the leather completely off but will leave it to the buyer. The corner mounts all have good plating with the exception of the upper right that has part of the plating deteriorated. There is a round. Nickel plated handle on the side that recedes back into the receiver.don't know the use for it. I don't have the key and you can assume that I won't be able to find it, although I will be looking.the number on the lock is A9W09, The Eagle Lock Co Terryville, Conn. Antique Steamer Trunk w/ Eagle Lock Co. Lock dated December 6, 1892
My husband and I cleaned out a house and found this old trunk in it. The lock on this old trunk is imprinted with the name Eagle Lock Company. Connecticut Patent Date December 6, 1892. Obviously it is used. The pictures show its condition. If you are interested in this trunk. Payment it requested within 3 days of the auction ending using Paypal. The lucky buyer needs to pick the trunk up at my home within 7 days of the auction ending. I have listed this item for pickup only. However. Antique Sargent Entry Lock Set, Cast Bronze c.1885
Item description Antique Sargent cast bronze entry door lock set c.1885. This is an excellent example of one of Sargent's more popular entry lock designs. The knobs are a more difficult to find entry sized set and show below average wear. All of the pieces are beautifully finished cast bronze. The lower key hole of the large plate has been opened up a bit. But is otherwise a very fine piece. The face plate of the mortise lock as some light rub marks, but they are not particularly noticable. The mortise lock and solid brass strike plate are reversible and will work with both left and right hand doors. The push buttons on the lock face plate lock/unlock the door knobs without using a key. However, you do need the included latchbolt key to open the lock when this feature is utilized. The deadbolt is operated from inside or out with the deadbolt ... morekey, also included with the set. As pictured, the lock is set up for a right hand swing door. If you need it changed, let me know and I'll take care of it for you. This is a complete set, ready to install. The set includes one cast bronze faced reversible entry mortise lock. One cast bronze entry and standard size knob, one entry door plate, round knob escutcheon, single keyhole cover, a solid brass strike plate and a working original deadbolt& latchbolt keys. Also included is a reconditioned knob spindle with new set screws. The set screw holes have been deburred so the screws turn in easily. This is a very nice, fully functioning lock set. The lock's backset to the keyhole is 2 7/8" The lock face plate is 6 15/16" tall x 1 1/16" wide. The lock box is 3 11/16" deep x 4 3/4" tall x 5/8" thick. The large door plate is 7 3/16" tall x 1 13/16" wide and the round escutcheon is 2" in diameter. The keyhole cover is 1 3/4" tall x 15/16" wide. The knobs are 2 1/4" in diameter. Vintage Antique YALE steel & brass Padlock lock old key
Vintage YALE padlock with original key. Works perfectly. On this type of padlock you have to push the key in firmly to lift the shackle and then rotate the key to turn the shackle in a open position. Body of lock is made of steel and shackle appears to be brass or bronze. Original key is made of steel. Spare key appears to be aluminum. Original key and shackle are both embossed with Yale& Towne Mfg. Co. Very solid heavy feel for this lock. Dimensions are 2 1/2 inches high by 2 inches wide.
