I have not used it and I do not know anything about how it works. It came from the lab of someone who did research in plastics and polymers. There is a layer of dust on it. This is a vintage piece of research test equipment. I think it is a Light Scattering Photometer. But I am not sure because the label is missing. The serial number is 767012. The only identifying thing on it says"Hergestellt in der DDR" I beleive DDR stands for Deuschland Democratic Republic also known as West Germany. I have not used it and I do not know anything about how it works. It came from the lab of someone who did research in plastics and other things, but I do not know what its exact use is. Western Electric optical projection meter that uses a flashlight bulb(and a spare GE 222X also) to reflect light off a mirror inside the potentiometer( rotary control module. And project it on the translucent, graduated screen on the front panel. Pushbutton switch at the bottom would be for taking readings and battery condition. It has an analog meter, above the rotary control with a center zero marking and a"BAT. area to the right on the face. Has a foot long coiled cord with a three pin plug that is marked"EBY 16160" I would imagine that would connect into a dry cell battery. The cord has a tag with"H328-705 L5" I am not sure of it's functioning. But it is a marvel of American engineering. The rotary control and mirror assembly has a marking of 726667-2(g or 8 or s) and the date April 20, 1981. It was part of a bigger instrument, as it has four(4) screws on it's thick Bakelite front panel to hold it in. Tektronix Oscilloscope 20 MHz Model 2205. This is a nice analog scope which seems to be in good working order. It powered up fine and the rudimentary test seemed to indicate that everything was in working order. I haven't use this model but I understand that they are reliable and rarely break down.
