This is a hay probe used to take proper samples of bailed hay to have analyzed for its nutritional content etc. Instructions are inlcuded with the probe and it is simple to use. Attache the end of the probe to an electric drill and drill into the end of the bail so the probe is cutting across the blades of the hay. The probe has a serated cutting surface on the business end which cuts and mixes the hay. Once you drill all the way into the bail. Pull the probe out discontect from the drill and push the sample into a poly bag with the included pusher dowel. Up for sale is a sheffield probe/indicator head for an accutron gage. It comes in original oak box. It comes with a 5 pole quick change connector. The cord is about 5 feet long.
