Okay. Not going to try an oversell this item.glance through all the pictures and you'll be sure to spot some scratches and scuffs no question. On top of that, tried to clean off what I thought was removable bubbles on cover( I thought it was dried liquid)but it was actually bubbles in the paint finish that peeled off. My suspicion is maybe something acidic like soda droplets or something sat and ate away at the finish etc. You can see just looks like tiny yellow polka dots. PACK STYLE WOOD HANDLED WALL BASKET GOD'S EYE
For your viewing and collecting pleasure we have a primitive/antique/vintage gathering pack/wall basket in very good to great condition. It is very sturdy. Has a bent wood handle that goes all the way around the back to sit against a wall. It has God's eye supports at the handle base. It has a beautiful and unusual shape and very well made. The basket does have a couple places where the weave has broken but it does not affect the intregity. No other damage is noted. It is approximately 16" long with handle. 8 1/2" wide and 10 1/2" deep. The twisted weave in the front on both sides is where there is breakage as you can see by the pictures. The bent wood handle goes all the way around the back of the piece and is very strong and secure. Written on the inside handle is ERR but it is unknown if that is the creators mark or ... morenot. It is unnoticeable unless you are looking up under the handle. I have not been able to find another basket like this so don't miss out on this wonderful hard-to-get treasure! I have a nice vintage classroom wall map sample pack. It was produced by Denoyer-Geppert in1964- 1967. It measures 44"X35ish"11 maps/ pages total. It is titled European and world history maps. Please refer to pics. It is made from a canvas/fiber so it is wipeable. It is a sample of the maps offered by the map distributor. The colors are vibrant and no visible tears are present. This one is particular nice. I have quite a few if these maps which I will start posting in the next couple of days so keep checking. This item is being sold as is. I'll leave the cleaning up to you.
