750 Watt power supply and a"partial" graphite"Monolith" beam stop are included. The laser power meter and charred flakeboard are not included. Consists of two independent 25 watt lasers with the beam combiner. This is an OEM unit with no key switch, no laser pointer. Just fuses and 2 RCA independent control signal input jacks. While originally both lasers were specified a minimum of 25 watts each when new. It appears one was used far more than the 2nd. At 90% duty cycle 22.5 watts and 15.2 watts are now available which means 40 watts is available at 100% power. The 90% duty cycle was limited due to the power supply being 25 amps and not the 30 amps required for 100% It also means ... moreone laser section meets original full power specifications. Not too shabby for a 20 year old laser. It's burning the flakeboard quite nicely. As soon as power is applied it's ready to go. This is a very well made AM modulator for a 10-15W synrad laser tube. It is good to 20KHz. It uses a power FET to rapidly modulate the PA of the synrad laser. The hook up is extremely simple. Fuse V+28 to +32V(A bit higher to 38V is fine, but lower than 28V is NOT OK! Bare wire 0V, Center pin of FET is modulation output. It enables output of PA on 5V input to white coax cable. A small 9K NTC thermistor goes across the pins as marked. Really nice item for fixing up an over voltage killed synrad laser, especially one where someone accidentally hooked 30V to the control. or amature radio operator, the pictures speak for themselves! Laser Tube From Epilog Summit - 25W - Good Power - Synrad
25W Laser Tube from Epilog Summit. I am told based it is a Synrad J48 laser- Epilog wrapped it in the aluminum heat sink casing. Well made. Old school design when design/long life was more important than cost. Good Power Mid 1990's Vintage. Built like a tank. I am told these tubes last so long because of the great heat transfer. I can see why epilog got out of it because of cost. RF solid design. These tubes can also still be recharged no problem. Long into the future also, Photovac, Ohio, has done about 50. This is a Synrad 20 watt CO2 Infrared laser. It's a Class IV laser and definitely not a toy. It's water cooled. It includes the complete laser. Fittings for the water lines(including the two that aren't shown in the photo of the back) the key, and a BNC control cable. This came out of a university physics department that was losing a storage room. I was told it worked when it went into storage. But I don't know when that was. I haven't tried to powered it up. This is a Synrad CO2 laser tube in need of a gas recharge. It is gas intact. But only puts out about 400mw. Zombie laser. The laser tube needs a 30VP 150W 47mHz RF signal to run. When new, it output about 13W of power at 10.6um, and a simple gas refill can make the laser tube good as new. This tube was originally part of a synrad J48-1 for a high end laser coding machine. These items look to be in good cosmetic condition, showing some minor signs of wear. They power up, as shown in the photos above. The laser powers up, and the power light illuminates, and after a few seconds the"Laze" light comes on as well, but I don't see any evidence that it is actually emitting a laser beam.
