Spectra Physics GCR-4 Laser Power Supply For sale is this used Spectra Physics GCR-4 Laser Power Supply. I believe it is for a Nd:Yag diode laser. It is overall in pretty decent cosmetic condition with the normal scuffs and scratches on the exterior. The biggest issues are that the connection to the laser has been cut off. And that the key was broken off in switch keyhole. The rest of the key is included. And seems to turn it still. I have not tested out the power supply. Will be sold completely as-is. Up for your consideration is a gently used Spectra Physics Laser Plane Grade Eye receiver. I believe it can be used with most lasers. I bought this unit new in 1990 when lasers were first becoming available to the construction industry. If I remember correctly it cost in excess of $3000.00 back then! It has been very well taken care of and is in perfect working condition. I retired several years ago and no longer need it. It always rode in the cab of the truck and kept in a wall locker when not in use with the batterys removed. Can be mounted in many different fashions depending on the machine being used. see attached flyer) The mounting bracket takes a 1 3/4" pole. I found that exhaust pipe of that size works perfectly. Originally part of a laser vacuum gauge(I think) the photos show the original thing it came out of- what you get is the transformer, the regulator assembly, the back panel with power connector(so you know how to wire up the transformer) and the aluminum heat sink/chassis. This is a great core for a low noise analog power supply- I would guess that the current capability is around 3 to 5 amps per voltage form- there are 4 separate voltages, one is unregulated and I forgot to measure it, the other three are +15, 15, and +5. The unregulated one looks like it is also aprox +15(because the cap is 30V) This is a linear regulator, not a switcher, so it will be low noise and not cause interference.
