2 18" Westinghouse Green Porcelain Barn Shop Lights The Nicest Ever Available
This pair are extra large18" Westinghouse porcelain lamps that were removed from a nationally know timber company's warehouse after 65 to 75 years of faithful service. They will need to be rewired to the winners specifications.These 65 to 75 year old lights have no damage whatsoever outside of scratching inside socket area which all these lights have inherently it appears. Cords were cut during removal. These survive much better tan Benjamin's and Appleton's it seems The lights are without tags. We have recently hit the mother lode acquiring 25 of these Westinghouse 18" models along with a dozen Benjamin's and 10 Appleton versions. It is amazing how vain people are in branding of items. We recently did another fun test selling a Boraxo powder soap container. It was brand new in it's Boraxo box with papers included. ... moreThe dispenser was void of the Boraxo label on the front. At one point years ago the company felt it wasn't necessary to show stencil. It sold for half as expected to a ebayer who is tickled with his purchase. We wonder if he photo-shopped a label and attached it. These Westinghouse examples generally sell for less than their counterparts. The two we are offering here are as nice as the day they were hung. We have another 12 from same warehouse that don't have a single flaw anywhere. All the other porcelain light makers' pieces have some damage albeit also minor in some cases. This is an Original Nose Hood from a IH Farmall C. The metal has been sand blasted and powder coated. The small dents were left to give it added character. The lights are original IH lights and mounted on the sides of the hood. An electric fan has been added behind the grill screen that comes on when the lights are turned on. The on/off switch is located on the front bottom. An reproduction aluminum logo plate was added on the top front of the grill and the IH radiator cap is sitting over the top hole and is not not attached. LOT OF (3) VINTAGE ARTICULATING WORK SHOP LIGHTS - WORKING - FOSTORIA?
For your consideration are three articulating shop lights. I believe these are"Fostoria" made in Ohio but the tags are long gone so I can't guarantee that. I will let the buyer be the judge. I believe two have been repainted but you can still see the green or aqua color under the black paint. The first one with the cone shape hood has no switch. Have to unplug but it works. The third one has a hose clamp on the upper section because it is loose. I think these sections are spot welded on. The middle lamp has the same kind of fitting and it is ok. Pictures 5, 6, 7 are showing the lights working. Picture 9 shows the hose clamp on the upper section. Picture 8 shows the Ohio mark. The two black ones need serious cleaning. Green Porcelain Barn Industrial Shop Vintage Lights -- Matched Pair 16"
This is a nice matched pair of 16" diameter. 10" high(with sockets removed) green porcelain light fixtures with sockets. The shades themselves, other than the tops where the sockets mount, are in really nice condition with just a few minor blemishes. There is some chipping of the black rim around the bottom that can easily be fixed with some gloss black paint. The sockets are removed in order to nest the shades for shipping in a smaller container. The sockets will have to at least be cleaned up and rewired, if not replaced.
