Huge laser lens AR coated PCX 15"F.L. 6 3/8" dia. w/mount
Huge lens from laser equipment. It is AR coated for possibly blue or UV wavelengths as it has a goldish reflection as can be seen in the pics. 6 5/16" dia. PCX. This was in a huge tube with about 4 other lenses that I no longer have. Focal length about 15 inches. hard to tell as it started to burn the fence. Included is this heavy bronze ring that has about 1/4" clearance on all sides from the lens. It can be made into a nice pivoting mount. I made one before using plastic cable staples and bolts in 3 points around the ring. The staples had a 1/4" channel which holds the lens nicely. Lens is nice and no scratches but the coating is a little worn/ mottled when looked at the right angle. I could not get a pic. of this. Bronze ring is 1.8 lbs. Lens is 1.4 lbs not including packaging.Thanks for looking

They are ideal for the first optic in the collimation system for higher power C-mount laser diodes due to their short focal length allowing you to gather most of the light. This is a very large cylindrical lens used for industrial laser diode welding and heat treatment machines up to 3KW optical power at 808nm+. 15nm. It is part of an optical system that will correct the beam from the arrays to make it able to be focused to about 10mm on the workpiece. The lens will work with other wavelengths up to 980nm and as short as visible ranges, with some attenuation in the green region. This is a collimator lens for an 808nm 50W FAP laser diode block. The laser it is used with looks like a gold block with a SMA connector on one end. It will make the beam into a much more manageable spot useful for heat treating and other uses. It was used in a precision micro welding machine. The optical lens is fine. This is an extremely short focal length lens for directing the beam from a 20W Green DPSS yag laser onto a titanium sapphire crystal. The lens will work with beams up to 1/4 inch diameter and has a very short focal length of only about 5 mm. The lens would also work well for sending the beam into an optical fiber as well. This is a As2S3 optical window or lens blank. It is 1.464 inch diameter by 0.230 inch thick. This material is used in FTIR spectrometers as the window material because it has an extremely wide bandwith of red to the middle of the middle infrared band. This lens material is very toxic if it is ground to powder. Burned, or exposed to acids. Any machining MUST be done in a glove box, but it could be ground into a lens using standard equipment for processing ZnSe or similar materials provided that great care is used in preventing the dust from getting all over the place. This blank of CVD As2S3 would cost well over 1,000 dollars from optics suppliers if you can find it. I have lots of laser and other unique stuff for sale this week.
