Metrologic ML-620 Red Helium Neon (HeNe) Laser Unit
This is a Metrologic ML-620 self-contained red helium neon(HeNe) laser and power supply. It is being sold for parts or repair as it is non-functional. This unit was working when I got it a number of years ago. But it has been in storage for years, and when I turned it on, it no longer functioned. I suspect that the laser tube has gone bad rather than the power supply. It should be an easy fix. I have not opened this up to attempt any repairs as I don’t have a replacement tube to try. Uniphase Red Helium Neon (HeNe) Laser and Hughes Power Supply
This is a used Uniphase model 1125-1133 red helium neon laser head. The power output of the tube is stated to be 10mw. But is likely less, and has not been tested for power output. Also included is a used Hughes Instruments model 437LF4 laser power supply that runs off of 115/230 VAC. Laser head is housed in a machined aluminum tube, and has a shutter to cut off the beam without removing power. Both units are functional as can be seen in the photos. Physical condition is good. Melles Griot Helium Neon (HeNe) red laser and power supply
This is a used Melles Griot red helium neon laser head. And Melles Griot 05-LPM-917-065 power supply. The power supply runs off of 115/230 volts AC. It also requires application of a +5vdc source to the TTL leads of the power supply to turn on the laser tube. This can be done with any low current 5vdc source. For test purposes I used two 3 volt lithium batteries as the voltage source, and this worked fine. Power output of the laser tube is unknown, and most likely under 10mw. The laser tube housing is made from machined aluminum, and has a shutter to turn off the beam if power remains connected. The unit is fully functional. Overall condition of the units are good, and other than some scuffs, physically it is very clean. This is a desktop or lab power supply for a helium neon(HeNe) laser. It may be useable for other laser tubes as well. It is marked Hughes Aircraft Company. But is made by Laser Drive. It is a working power supply, and is in very good physical condition. I do not have a key to go with this supply, but unit was tested with another key that I have with another power supply. I had planned on changing out the key switch for a toggle switch, and this would be an easy fix. The switch jack on the back of the power supply is probably jumpered internally, as it is not needed in order to activate the HV output. Melles Griot LGR-120 Series Helium Neon laser tube which is a pull from working equipment. it is clean and working normally. Output power was tested at ~0.7mW. Runs at 1400VDC at exactly 4.5mA optimal with a recommended ballast is 75K at 5W. Running with a proper power supply is a MUST for green tubes. This is a rare tube. Most HeNes do red. Up for sale is a Research Electro-Optics HeNe Laser with Voltex Power Supply. A Point Source Fiber Delivery System(with built in shutter and a filter wheel that has different levels of ND Filters in it(I think) It also comes with the driver card for the shutter(all cable connectors are labeled on both the cable connector and the pcb connector) plus all cables to connect to the pc(not shown) You'd simply need to download the software online, and I'm not sure if there is a cost associated with it, but I'm sure it's easy enough to find out. It is fully functional and cosmetically excellent. You don't need to use the driver board to use it. Just unscrew two screws where the shutter is connected and it comes right off and out of the way. In the last picture all I'm doing is manually turning the knob on the back of the shutter ... moreto move it, but all I would've had to do is remove the screws to alleviate that step, but it appears to be that I like doing things the hard way. LAST ONE OF THESE! Extremely rare to find in healthy working condition! This is a HP5501A laser. It is a stabilized single frequency hene laser. It works well and phase locks almost immediately. The coherence of these is amazingly long. Power output seems to be pretty close to 1/2mw or so. These lasers are quite rare and from what i've see quite spendy too.
