This is a small protection optic for passively q-switched dpss lasers. It prevents backward going pulses from reaching the pump diode and blowing it up. These plates are used in several Coherent lasers as well as the JDS Uniphase MALDI tripled yag lasers. Melles Griot also uses similar optics on their blue 1W DPSS lasers. Coated HR1064/AR808 on one side. And AR808 on the other side. Dotted side faces the pump diode. The coating quality is good enough to use as a HR mirror also. This item is pretty hard to find I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.

This is a 13x43mm quarter wave plate for a high energy pulsed neodymium ceramic laser made by Northrop Grumman. I haven't taken it out of the clean-room packaging because of the extreme energy this optic is intended for.The laser was designed to output 100-200kW pulses for a few seconds at a time. Up for auction is a Coherent FAP-81-18c-800-B high power laser diode. Part of the Coherent FAP-B model line. Designed for 18W of output at 800nm. This diode uses an SMA connector for coupling to a fiber. The diode is mounted to a TEC with thermistors for monitoring the temperature of both sides of the TEC. This unit was removed from a machine in working condition. It has been stored with the anode and cathode grounded out to prevent static damage and stored in an ESD protected bag. Nice laser. Not a scratch on the tube. Like new. This one I measured 3.3mw after only 10 minutes. It's rated for 2mw. Measured on a friends nice calibrated power meter. I will guarantee it for 3mw due to variances in meters. Un-polarized random beam. Comes with everything shown except the laser goggles box. This one had a cut cord like it was hard wired to a power supply. I built an elaborate splice for it to assure safety and reliability. The two cables were soldered and 2 layers of heat shrink with adhesive were added. I crimped a couple of stainless ear clamps on each end in the small phenolic box. Lastly. This is an extended range optical grating for a machine that detected gain bandwidth of laser diode dies. LED's and similar parts. The grating is optimized for near IR for 1.5um through 610nm, but should be usable to 400nm for some uses like spectrometers or dye lasers. Given it's original application, this grating is as good as it gets. It measures about 15mm by 10mm mounted in a small adjusting mount as shown.
