2 Old MAGNETOS WICO & FAIRBANKS Gas Stationary Engine Cushman Hit & Miss Tractor
Here I have 2 used vintage WICO MAGNETOS. The yellow one is a WICO model X with XH 150 and serial no. 159370 and has real good strong spark(I know it bit me! The resistance when trying to snap is very strong. The other one is a FAIRBANKS MORSE model X(information shared by a knowledgable fellow Ebayer) altho it does not have the metal tag. Rivets are there but no tag. It comes with the distributor that has an FM embossed in the center. The resistance when trying to snap it is very strong but didn't have a proper wire to make a good test for spark These magnetos were used on many different types of engines ie: stationary engines. I've been collecting,repairing,buying and selling one cylinder engines for about 30 years,long enough to be able to know that,nice original, unmolested,engines are getting harder to find. I've sold several"Restored" engines to folks that later have indicatd they would like to also have one that is still original and in good running condition. Everything about this engine is original,including the Hercules cart it's sitting on. Lucas Type MAI HighTension Magneto Stationary Engine Lister A B D Spares/Repair
Up for auction is a Lucas magneto. Type MAI for rebuild or spares. Direction arrow indicates clockwise rotation looking at the drive end. It is in good condition externally. No severe corrosion. The points look to be in good complete order. There is a small corner broken off the HT lead feed-out tower. The armature is not seized but when rotated by hand it is obvious that the bearing attached to the magneto by a lenght of copper wire(see photos) needs to be re-installed or replaced? This is how it was found. I have not investigated further. The mounting hole threads look to be in reasonable condition. Value start price as it would be a shame to scrap it. Offering this single cylinder engine of unknown origin. Cast iron cases. With no damage. Incorrect cylinder, base mount, holes do not line up with case holes. Single valve lifter. Engine would have had atmospheric intake. Piston is cast iron and fits bore 3-1/4" diameter. 3-9/16 cylinder base bore on case. Looks to have a 3-1/2" stroke. Motor mount holes are 10-7/8" x 2" center to center. The only casting numbers are in drive side of case and they are very faint. Looks to be E152. Drive shaft is 7/8" diameter. Here is a great old timey bent spoke pulley that is in fine shape! It does have surface rust but is very sound like it was made yesterday. The bolt that comes with it is not the original as you can see. It measures 7" in diameter. Is 2 9/16" wide, with the shaft hole being 1" in diameter. On one side of the spokes is cast"P27" and"B"Near the"P27" can be seen some minor flaws in the cast on the outside edge[outer wall] of the shaft hole. This is an old-school ground-mounted alligator reciprocating-motion scrap or plate shear. These are capable of cutting really large or thick stock. These were prevalent from before WWI to at least the 1950s. It is functional and complete EXCEPT it doesn't have the drive motor. A 7.5 to10-horse electric motor would be commonly mounted on it. Other options exist. It derives huge impulse power from the rotating mass beyond what the motor might seem to be able to do. A#2 can cut a 3-inch bar. non-hardened) This is a huge ability! A real good job for this machine is cutting car or even truck tires on the rim clean in half. To separate them and make disposal costs of tires much cheaper. It has various numbers stamped on the base which are: 136 DB(could be BB, badly stamped) 452802 53A. It is reasonably complete and in fair shape externally. The main body casing is in good order but the points housing has some external corrosion. see photos) The base has a repaired broken corner, the repair looks sound. The mounting hole threads are very good. No discernible wear to the armature bearings or end float. The armature is not seized. The trip mechanism looks to be good but has two different return springs. The HT lead feed-out tower has a bit broken off where the lead retainer screws in. Up for auction is a `Square` ML magneto. Type CK1 in working condition. It is in quite nice shape externally. There is scrape damage(minor) to the right hand edge of the"ML" embossed top plate. The casing has minor surface corrosion. No discernible wear to the armature bearings or end float. There is a little"pull" on the armature when it is rotated by hand. I cleaned the points and made a temporary HT lead. When spun anti-clockwise(looking at the drive end) it gave a good spark. This was done just prior to listing. The HT lead feed-out tower looks to be in good shape. The points cover is missing and the cover retainer spring clip is broken off. It comes with a 14 tooth sprocket. It weighs 2.7kg unpacked. Briggs and Stratton 5S lever start stationary engine
Engine has very good compression but no spark may need points. Fuel tank has some junk in the bottom but when I scraped it it came off easily and tank is nice under the gunk. Engine does have a dent in the blower cover as pictured and is greasy dirty so please bid accordingly. I will part out if it does not sell.

VINTAGE / ANTIQUE MAYTAG MODEL 72 HIT & MISS STATIONARY ENGINE
For bid is a Maytag model 72 hit& miss engine. This engine is complete and in running condition. I worked on it last fall and got it running. Today. I put some gasoline in the tank and it started up with no problem. It runs very smooth. It was running when I took the close up pictures of the flywheel. I could not slow the shutter speed on my camera enough to show it running. There is a weld(braze) on the starter kick pedal as can be seen in a couple of the pictures. The repair was done very well, but nevertheless, it was repaired. This is an underslung type mount. There is a wrench included which is also shown in the pictures. This engine is used and is being sold as/is. Anyone in the 43402 area is welcome to contact me and inspect this engine.

This is the rear mounted bracket set-up that mounts on the main cap and runs of the crank gear. The bracket itself also has a good amount of green paint. The part# on this bracket reads: 2N- 190. Up for auction is a Lucas RS1 single cylinder high tension magneto with a Lister D? shaft drive coupling fitted. It is untested and is for rebuild or spares. Direction arrow indicates clockwise rotation looking at the drive end. It is in good condition externally with only light surface corrosion. It is very grubby. The points look to be in very good. Clean and complete order. The armature rotates freely with no detectable bearing wear or end float. There is a noticeable"pull" from the magnet on the armature when it is rotated by hand. Up for auction is a single cylinder high tension magneto of unknown manufacture[Any help please] Possibly Fellows? It has no makers name or other identifying marks on it. It is untested and is for rebuild or spares. Direction arrow indicates clockwise rotation looking at the drive end. The points are of a very unusual design. It is in good condition externally with only light surface corrosion. The points look to be in very good. Clean and complete order. There is a small chip to the HT lead feed-out tower. The armature rotates freely with no detectable bearing wear or end float. There is a noticeable"pull" from the magnet on the armature when it is rotated by hand. This is quite a small magneto being only 4.25 inches high(base to top of magnet) and 4.75 inches wide(armature end to points cover) It has had a seperate thick copper ... morebase plate with sloted mounting holes added at some time. You are bidding on an AMERICAN BOSCH AB-33 magneto for several different stationary gas engines in good overall condition. The aluminum casting is marked: NO. 3361993 TYPE AB33 ED-1 AMERICAN BOSCH MAGNETO CORP. Nothing appears to be missing or broken on the unit aside from a chip in the lead tower where the plug wire comes out. The cast aluminum body and ears have no cracks or any other notable flaws. The aluminum internal threads are good with no issues. The steel rocker arm is good with no flaws. The points are intact and the cover is in good condition.
