20KW Diesel Generator, Stationary with Yangdong YD 485 engine
I purchased this 20KW generator in 2007. It has been in a heated garage ever since and only has 39 hours run time on it. Unlike most 20KW generators it is square in shape and this one is designed to be easily moved around with a pallet jack. It weighs about 1700 lbs. and measures 42"x42"x55" There is no usable internal fuel tank. It uses an external fuel tank/drum with 2 lines that quick-couple the fuel supply to the generator. A 30 gallon drum sets on a cart which allows you to easily move the fuel supply around. In cold weather you're able to keep the fuel supply indoors while the generator runs outdoors. If desired. The fuel supply system will fit into any size barrel that has a 2 inch bung. The generator looks and runs like new and has been extremely well maintained. It is driven by 2 large belts and powered by a YangDong ... moreModel YD 485 diesel engine. YangDong is the largest producer of small diesel engines in China. Replacement parts are available online. These engines are also popular on farm tractors all across North America. Included with the generator is a heavy duty 28 foot cord with 50 amp plug(used to hook the unit to a receptacle) 1- spare fan belt; 1 spare drive belt; 30 gallon drum/cart/10' fuel lines; all the manuals. The engine compartment is spotless and the outer cabinet also looks brand new. The only exception is that the very lower outside trim panel located on the control panel side has some ripples in it. Main bearings and shims and governor shaft. The speed control knob is stuck on the shaft. The governor shaft has some braze on it and it appears to have repairs on the thread end. This is a nice old wico model c magneto type 19D. Turns over nice. Has inpules and will make a nice spark. It is dirty and in original condition. There is something black that had dripped onto the top of it at one time, there is some masking tape residue stuck to the side of it, and the terminal in the side of it is loose and wiggles in the case. these are the only flaws I see, but please look at the pictures. I have for auction this original ball shaped muffler. It fits a stationary hit miss gas engine of around 1.5 or 2hp. I am not sure what it fits but looks similar to Stover or associated engines. It has a piece missing on the edge of the muffler. It is about 6" across. The pipe on it looks like 1/2" size. It is rusty but just needs a cleaning and some paint and your engine.
