This is the last of my Fleischmann steam engines from my collection. It's a 125-2 made between 1958- 59 It's in remarkable condition for it's age and it runs like new. As the shaft spins the governor opens and operated the arm which moves back and forth along the wooden tray. I'm not sure what the tray held or the purpose but the unit functions great. Here is a very interesting Vintage motor generator type 31.The motor was use by a car garage years ago to test dynamos after they were repaired for customers and as a lighting generator with a home built switchboard. Running with a 1 1\2HP stationary engine. It would also charge a battery. Used yeas ago by a garage for testing dynamo. The Stationary engine would turn the dynamo which if working would send power to this motor generator it would start spinning and give a read out to the switch board, and could also charge a battery and light. Extremely Rare Unique Nelson Brothers Stationary Hit Miss Engine Not Maytag
This in an extremely rare example of an early overhead valve. Push rod actuated hit and miss engine built by Nelson Brothers. Overhead valves were a fairly high tech system when this engine was built, and were typically only seen on motorcycles, airplanes and the occasional car. The engine turns just fine, not locked up, and seems to create decent compression. The carburetor looks to be complete and intact, but a piece of fuel line that leads into it seems to be missing, It is also missing the oil fill cap, but these things should not be difficult to find/replace. I believe it is four stroke, but I am not sure, it seems to have some rather complicated plumbing that I do not fully understand, as I work with Briggs and Stratton engines more commonly. Sturtevant Steam Engine HC-1 hit and miss stationary boiler tractor sawmill
This is a 1910 era Sturtevant Steam Engine. The engine is frozen up. But is fully intact with governor, slide valve, oilers and other parts present. Engine is in need of full restoration, but what an incredible piece of history. This is an unusual model in that it has two flywheels, whereas the typical HC-1 had one. This engine was discovered locally after many years hidden in a scrapyard. Like many projects I've picked up over the years, just have too much on my plate so passing it along to someone with better time and resources. Now for the interesting part. The story that goes along with the engine was that it was a sawmill engine recovered from one of the Vanderbilt mills in the present day Pisgah National Forest. The scrapyard owner was a local from Haywood County that knew well the background. If this provenance is correct, this ... morewas one of the engines that powered the mills that produced the millions of board feet of lumber that left this region of North Carolina for the northeast and elsewhere. I state that the engine is 1910 era based on my amateur investigation of the engine and its identification numbers. The engine does include a section of piping and valves however that appear to be dated in the 1800's, presumably the piping that connected it to its original boiler. Perhaps this engine drove some part of the mills that created the Biltmore Estate, but that is speculative. The engine also includes a massive timber cart with cast iron wheels and strapping. Not sure if the cart in fact goes with the engine originally, however I recovered it at the same time and from the same location. I have the engine and its parts loaded on my truck ready for delivery to your location or shipping agent. This engine is tremendously heavy. We loaded it with a full-size trackhoe- my weight estimate is around 3000 pounds. I will deliver within 200 miles of Cherokee, NC for $2.00 per loaded mile. Well worth it. 1886 Model Vertical Stationary Steam Engine for Restoration
For auction here is a nice reversing vertical stationary steam engine project. It dates from 1886 according to the engraved plate. And so would make an interesting little engine when finished. I brought this engine from America with the intention of restoring it. But bigger projects have gotten in the way, so I have decided to let someone else have the chance to tinker with it. Everything seems free. But it does need going right through and repairing in places. The eccentric straps are detached from the reversing gear and require repair. I believe the flywheel end of the crank is bent as the flywheel wobbles when turning over, and generally it needs sorting out. The build of the engine is very nice in parts but I think it has had some work carried out at some point in it's 128 year life by someone with more enthusiasm than skill. Up for auction is a Lucas? ML Lister type MK1-2 high tension magneto for rebuild or spares. Probably too good for spares. Direction arrow indicates anti-clockwise rotation looking at the drive end. It comes with what looks like a Lister D direct drive coupling. It is in good condition externally. No severe corrosion. The points look more or less complete but are in poor shape. The HT lead feed-out tower has a crack in it and the screw-in lead retainer has a chip out of it. It has some light surface corrosion. The points cap retaining clip is broken off. The armature turns freely. Bearings are good and there is no end float. The mounting hole threads look to be in very good condition. It weighs 2.5kg unpacked. Bid/buy with your knowledge. Lauson Antique Gas Stationary Engine - Motor
This 1939. Lauson Built, cast iron motor was sold as a Montgomery/Ward product. The Lauson name is cast into the crankcase, but MW put their name on the ID tag. It starts with one pull and runs very well. No smoke, no misfires. It runs just like it should. I completely restored it and painted it while disassembled. The round gas tank has some small dents that I was unable to remove due to lack of internal access. Mounted on a solid oak board. Great show engine if you belong to a club. Taylor Vacuum Hit and Miss Engine.This is an earlier model. There is a Taylor registry and there are right at 100 engines listed,90 of them have a serial number higher than this one(4 digit see photos) I can find no cracks,breaks or repairs except the rocker shows a braze that is very old and is solid. The cylinder seems good with most of the compression going out the exhaust valve.Nothing is stuck but the valves will need attention.The carburetor is there and so is the needle valve.Looks like all the trip parts for the missing Wico are there. Please ask questions and feel free to call. I can put it on a pallet or take it to Fastenal. I can store it for a month or two and in June I'm driving to Denver by way of Salt Lake City and Reno if that helps anyone. Old KW stationary gas engine rotary Hi Tension 4 cylinder magneto
Four cylinder KW magneto from a stationary or possibly a tractor. Gas engine. Unit is a Model-Y. Frame appears to be aluminum. Steel drive shaft has a keyway cut and is tapered. Shaft will turn stiffly by hand and you can feel the magnets drag on the rotary parts. I have no way to test this so am selling AS-IS. Unit has a sheet brass cover around the middle. Also has a bakelite end part with a"glass" window to view the points. Shipping is by Priority USPS in a 12X12X12 box at 15 Pounds. Ship to USA lower 48 only. Selling with no returns please. Vintage Small Brass DRIP OILER - Machinery, Stationary Engine, Hit Miss
SMALL DRIP OILER- PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE PHOTOS- Vintage brass oiler in fair to good used condition. Overall height is approximately 4 1/8 inches. An unusual drip tube extends 3 1/4 inches from the side of the bottom fitting. No maker's markings. The spring-loaded fill-hole cover is marked: PATD 3.30.15. Used condition. Fairly clean. Chrome plating is worn and the brass is showing through in places(see photos below) Plating on the top and bottom reservoir caps is scuffed and scratched all-over. The small bottom sight glass tube rattles around. Probably because there is no cork gasket. No evidence that there ever was a gasket in the small lower chamber. Large gaskets are present in the reservior, though old and oil-soaked. Everything turns freely. Should be ready to use. Unusual! Fuller Johnson & 1 1/2 HP stationary engine.
This is a nice Fuller& Johnson engine. Manufactured in Madison. Wisconsin. It is a 1 1/2 horsepower and rev per Min are 500. The serial number is 69487 and therefore was manufactured in 1919. The engine is complete with crank. It is missing a coil, but I believe with little effort this engine will run. It has been in a shed for many years.
