You are bidding on a crank cover. With a hinge, p/n WA125B, which I believe fits a Lauson 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 HP stationary"hit and miss" engine. Looks intact. From what I've read if you open this while the engine was running something would interfere leading to the destruction of the cover, or engine, or both- so I would imagine these parts were removed shortly after the engines were installed. Probably a good idea to leave it off but keep it just to say you have a complete engine. Items shown in pictures are what you will receive. Up for auction is this KW buzz coil that appears to be in very good condition for its age. I'm not sure wha t its exact purpose was. W h ether i t was for a stationary engine. A Wico single cylinder magneto. Wico type A567B Z Serial no. E187534 Anticlockwise rotation when viewed fron the drive end. It is a trip type magneto. Driven by a disc with two driving dogs. See third picture. The black plastic top is complete and free from cracks. It does have a few scratches. There is one cover screw missing. Both oil labels are present and in good readable condition. The housing is in good condition and free from defects. 3 mounting bolts are included in the sale.The points are good, but could do with a clean up. I tested the spark with a neon test screwdriver and turned it over by hand and it lit the neon. I have not tested it with a spark plug. Genuine Lister 8 to 1 CS Stationary Diesel Engine and generator set. This unit is a very rare original Start O Matic which is rated for 8hp and 4.5 KW 220v 50hz AC power. It is in great condition with no cracks in the block and runs perfectly. I know very little of this units personal history. But as any Lister CS owner knows these gems are extremely reliable, cheap to operate, simple to fix, and capable of using multiple fuel stocks. Unit starts from a pair of 12 volt batteries which feed integrated DC windings in the generator. When at full speed it then recharges the batteries and produces AC power for your equipment. The previous owner has added a wall mountable switch-box to manually start the unit from the batteries in lieu of the original automatic switch-box. This does not negatively affect its performance in any way and only serves ... moreto add an extra measure of control and security if anything. However. THIS MAGNETO LUCAS RSI MAGNETO WOULD SUIT ALL SORTS OF VINTAGE STATIONARY ENGINES FROM INDUSTRIAL MOTORS TO SOME ROATERY HOES AND SOME OLD PUP BOAT MOTORS. THE MAGNETO IS FROM MY SHED AND HAS NOT BEEN TARTED UP FOR SALE. I CHECKED THIS MAGNETOS BY JUST TURNING IT AGAINST THE MAGNETIC PULL OF THE MAGNETO THEN JUST ROLLED IT PAST THIS MAGNETIC PULL AND IT PRODUCES A STRONG LONG SPARK.TESTING IN THIS WAY CHECKS BOTH THE MAGNETIC AND THE SPARK, THIS MAGNETO HAS BOTH A STRONG MAGNETIC PULL AND SPARK WHEN TURNED SLOWLY. Printed in Australia. In English language. Date: Published February. 1932. 36 pages(plus covers) This measures 114 mm x 171 mm(about 4.5" x 6.75" With line drawn diagrams. This covers: Concrete foundations(including a factory sticker over a paragraph covering"Clean Air Essential" How the engine operates, preparation for starting, starting, failure to start, stopping, care of engine, care of bearings, Konking Lubrication etc, big end oiler, oil pump, piston& ring lubrication, Gudgeon pin and ... morecompression, cylinder head gasket, valves, fuel valve, vaporising housing, governor, difficult starting, ordering parts, then a text listing of parts with part name, quantity required, then columns with the part number for each model: S, CC& FF. Condition: Covers show a little wear with a few marks and light soiling. Corners are bumped with bends to the upper right corner which show as creases on the covers, the factory sticker has caused a bit of browning on the first inside page which it backs, inside otherwise shows some useage and paper ripples but is clean and tidy, reasonable to reasonable plus condition overall. I am estimating this is from about the late 1940's to early 1950's, the envelope this was originally sent in(along with the Light& Power brochure I am listing today) does not have a postmark date but does have a"Buy War Savings Certificates" cachet. 8 pages(including covers) This measures about 285 mm x 215 mm(about 11.25" x 8.5" Illustrated in black and white with green and red tints. This covers updating existing shearing plants, electric shearing gear, diesel and petrol stationary engines, with Master Model friction ... moregear and Cooper E-B handpiece covered on the back cover. Condition: This has been folded down the middle to fit the smaller envelope this was originally sent in and has curled in the envelope. Covers show some wear and this has some wrinkles to the paper at right, bumping to the right edge, inside is otherwise clean and tidy, reasonable to reasonable plus condition overall. This listing is for an authentic vintage advertising catalog from CUSHMAN MOTOR WORKS of Lincoln. Nebraska. Catalog shows all four sizes of Cushman engines: 4 hp; 8 hp; 15 hp and 20 hp. Catalog is not dated, but I see a reference to the 1915 planting season. So probably from 1916 or 1917. Catalog is loaded with black and white pictures of the Cushman in action, and letters of testimonial. Catalog measures 6" x 9" and contains 40 pages, with paper covers. Map is dated 1953.
