And with the spring they can be mounted and used in any position. The light spring gives them a very low cracking pressure, in other words low fuel pressure will open the valve. If you have need for even lower pressure you can simply remove the spring as show in the picture. With no spring the valve needs to be installed in a vertical position so the ball falls down to seal. Up for auction is my Carling 3hp Steam Turbine. Works well. I had it running on both air and steam. 1500 rpm, not sure of year but I would guess 1940's. The 3 valves control the flow to the veins, each one closes off a vein. Ran well off of 120 cfm compressor, my small taylor shop boiler did not have enough volume and would just get it spinning. Relatively small for a steam turbine, 2 guys can easily pick it up. Has working governor, 1 inch shaft. Would make a great engine show piece, would look good with a propeller spinning on it. The small glass is approx. 13/16" tall x 3/4" diameter. The overall length is 5" The top brass is stamped Lonargan. Phila. Pa. U.S.A. The bottom threads are 3/8 mpt. There is one small crack on the bottom brass and a hairline crack in the bottom glass(see pic 12) both of which could be from"overtightning" or not using gaskets which are not present. This is a matched set of 4 antique CAST IRON WHEELS. 6 spoke. They are approx. 8" diameter, 1" axle size, 1-7/8" axle depth and wheel face is 1-5/8" wide. I did not find any name nor number and I left them as found. You could shine them up or leave them original which is pretty cool. There is one spoke on one wheel with a crack. Brass live steam engine TRACTOR Model Dockyard type stationary or mobile
This brass live steam tractor was made in the style of Clyde Model Dockyard or one of the other companies specializing in model steam engines in the late 1800's. This model probably dates from the 1970's. But could be much older. This tractor can be used as a stationary engine by removing the driving band. It is 6 3/16 inches(157 mm) long. 3 inches wide(77 mm) and 7 inches tall(or 178 mm) tall due to the extremely tall smoke stack. If it ran on track, the gauge would be about 2 inches to 2 3/16 inches or 50 mm to 55 mm. It has embossing to simulate bands around the boiler. The frame is solid cast brass. It weighs 1 3/4 pounds. 2 cylinder reversible stationary hoist steam engine 1800's Tractor Hit Miss Boat
This is an extremely powerful. Two cylinder, reversible steam engine from the late 1800's. It originally ran a hoist in a mine. It could be used to drive a steam truck or steam bus. Steam tractor, steam boat, or even a small geared steam locomotive! Overall. The engine is approximately 37 inches long, 24 1/4 inches wide, and 10 1/4 inches tall. The flywheels are 10 inches in diameter and 1 3/4 inches wide. The stroke length is 5 inches(measured at the flywheel) Cylinder internal diameter is probably 4 inches. The gear on the flywheel shaft is 4 3/4 inches in diameter and 2 3/4 inches wide. It has 13( teeth. The engine weighs approximately 600 pounds. This engine turns over extremely easily and smoothly by hand. I got it from a boiler maker who was nearing the end of his days. He got it years ago from someone who had carried it out of ... morean abandoned iron mine in Michigan piece by piece. The boiler maker reassembled it and got it running on compressed air. He used cardboard for a few of the gaskets. I am not sure how the rods are packed. He just wanted to see it run. It is an incredible piece of heavy machinery. Josef Falk 1930 Stationary Steam Engine Plant 144/3 1/2 w/burner Made in Germany
This is a pre WWII stationary steam engine in amazingly beautiful condition made by Josef Falk a manufacturer from 1895-1934. Owner of this engine said it was a Christmas from his father in 1930 and that it had already belonged to his father. The manufacture date is probably pre-1930 but that's the only date we have to go on. The green base with red trim is 11.25" by 9.5" The flywheel measures approx 3" and has pulleys for two belts. Burners are complete with wicks and uncorroded(most of these you see that still have the burners they are heavily corroded, these have light surface rust only) This toy steam engine was manufactured by the Josef Falk Company of Nuremberg. Germany during the early 20th century. The toy consists of an engine run by a horizontal boiler over a firebox on a cast iron base. The boiler and base bear ... morethe stamp“JF” Live steam toys enjoyed a period of popularity from the 1880s until the 1930s. The miniature steam engines were marketed as both toys and instructive devices that mimicked full-scale steam-powered machines and allowed every boy and girl to be their own engineer. In toy steam engines. A heating source is introduced into the firebox below the boiler. Early toys used lit wicks fueled by denatured alcohol(like this one) but later toys used electricity which heated the water to produce the steam pressure that ran the engine. A variety of accessories could be powered by the engine; attachments included windmills, pumps, grinders, and electric lights. Stationary engine, FAIRMONT speeder railroad inspector car engine!!
Here is a nice little FAIRMONT railroad inspector car engine that was designed to run in both forward and reverse. I bought this a short time ago thinking that I would have time to get it up and running and to do a complete restoration on it. Unfortunately I have an illness in the family[autistic daughter] that has gotten a bit worse which now requires almost all of my time-no time to spend on this engine. The compression is good and the bearings appear to be tight and wheels seem to run true. I was able to get it to"pop" a few times-think there is something not right with the time or may be just me. Anyway. These engines are fun to work on[had one years ago-a blast! and they are great to see running- a real show stopper. I believe this one was made around the early to mid 1930s. International Harvester 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 HP LB Stationary Gas Engine
The LB Engine was manufactured from 1941– 1948 by International Harvester in Chicago. IL. I am not sure which year this unit was made; the Model Number is LBA 116520. This old time gas engine has been in the shed for years. I have turned it over by hand but it needs some TLC. It is set up with a dual v-belt pulley; 300– 500 R.P.M. pulley speed. The gas tank needs to be replaced; parts are available online– I decided that I need to clean things out and won’t be restoring it. It weighs 190 pounds. Central Florida local delivery or delivery to a shipping facility within 50 miles is available for $25.00(fuel costs) otherwise. I can bolt it to a pallet for shipping. THIS SALE IS FOR A VINTAGE NOVO BOX. IT IS 9-5/8" X 5-1/4" AND 9" HIGH. I THINK THIS IS A COIL AND BATTERY BOX FOR A HIT AND MISS ENGINE BUT I AM NOT POSITIVE. IT NEEDS TO BE CLEANED UP AND PAINTED AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICTURES. THIS WAS IN AN OLD BARN AND I AM NOT SURE WHAT IT WAS USED FOR.

Stationary Engine Cart for Hit Miss or Perhaps Railroad Cart
This cart has cast iron axles and some cast on the wheels. The remainder of the cart is steel. It has been bead blasted and it has a light coat of grey primer. It is 53 inches long without the handle. 26 inches wide to the outside of the wheel tread, 17 inches tall, Handle is 50 inches long. It has the"Illinois G USA" on the angle iron frame as seen in the second picture. There is a crack in the rear angle iron frame as seen in the 7th picture. The person I got this from said it had a wood deck on it at one time and the some of the bolts that held the wood to the metal frame are in the plastic jar as seen in last(9th) picture. Other wise this cart is in excellent condition. I would estimate the weight of this cart at 80 or more pounds. Shipping will be done in 3 different boxes(frame and handle-wheels-axles) and will be $80.00 in ... morethe lower 48. If I have over estimated this amount by more than $3 or $4.
