New-Way 3 HP ?? Stationary Hit & Miss Gas Engine Gasoline Steam Vintage
This is a somewhat rough New-Way engine that I saved from being scrapped recently. I can find no serial number plate on it anywhere so I am guessing that it is of about 3 to 4 horsepower or so. The flywheels on this engine measure 24" in diameter. It appears that it went through a fire many years ago that melted out the babbit main bearings. The crankshaft appears to be bent a bit because the flywheels are about 2 inches closer together at the top than they are at the bottom. Restoring this engine will be a big task but it can be done. I figure it will be most useful for a parts engine. The flywheels. Base, cylinder, connecting rod cover, magneto mounting base and magneto drive gears appear to be useable. I will add more information soon. Wizard Vintage Hit Miss Stationary Engine Brass Low Tension Oscillating Magneto
Nice brass body Wizard type 2T0 magneto made by the Hercules Electric Company. It is all there except for the name band. Springs and rollers. Front and rear bearing plates have been bored to clean. Part of a new armature shaft has been started. It needs finishing and rewinding. Brass body is in great shape, spring arms aren't tweaked and has no stripped bolt or screw holes. This will make a great looking hot and valuable magneto with some effort.

Genuine Lister 6 to 1 CS Start o Matic Stationary Diesel Engine with original cast iron base. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL LISTER NOT A LISTEROID! As such it is very well balanced and does not move about when running. It is over 50 years old and yet in great condition with no faults. You will not find sand in the crankcase! This unit comes originally from a Start O Matic set. Which means it has the heavier flywheels, one with twin V-grooves for belts. Runs terrific at 650 rpm with only a few hours from rebuild. It is very economical and simple. I have replaced the cylinder as the original had heavy damage from freezing with poor repairs. I have also replaced the small and large end(shell) bearings. Ground the crank, replaced the idler bolt, oil and felt seals, and given it new main bearings.The fuel pump and fuel injector have been completely reconditioned ... moreas well. I've done the hard work and repairs to make this unit is ready for work! Or a paint job. Item extremely heavy at about 1200lbs. It is already in a crate and ready to ship from its current location in Abilene. TX 79602, USA. I don't know what it will cost to ship to your location. I am offering a super nice Essex patent hot air engine. I have been told this a Buffalo engine. Sold out of Buffalo, New York. The engine is in super nice original condition. The engine is on a nice wooden base for display. These engine were used to power rotating store displays and dental equipment as I have been told. The engine runs really nice as I use sterno fuel available at Wal-Mart or any camping store. Engine measurements are 18" long,20" including base. Flywheel measures 6" in diameter. Antique No1 Hit Miss Flat Belt Grist Grain Burr Stationary Mill Engine 1878 1880 Older No. 1 Hit-Miss Grain Burr Mill. What you see in the photos is what there is. This mill is marked" No. 1" and as best I can read is also marked" Patented April- 1878" and" April- 1880" This mill is frozen up and will not turn. I have not done anything with it since I aquired it many years ago from my local scrap iron dealer then. Hopper is as seen in the photos appears to be made from the tapered top of an old milk can. There is a crack in the frame on the one side and I have included photos to show that. It can be repaired. The catch that engages the backside of the adjusting rod handle is also broken off. Overall height as it appears to the top of the hopper is 23 inches. Overall width at the widest. Which is to the outside ... moreof opposite side feet is 19-1/4 inches. Overall longest length to the end of the adjustment rod stickin out on the one end is apprx 28-1/2 inches. Without that end of adjustment rod sticking out. The length is apprx 24-1/2 inches long. Flat belt pulley and flywheel are good. Drive flat belt pulley is 6-1/2" diameter. And the pulley face is 5-7/8" wide. Some old orange paint underneath shows the original paint color. Shaft turns over well. Bearings appear good. I do not find any breaks or repairs. The burr adjustment is on the bottom. Drive flat belt pulley is 8" diameter. And the pulley face is 4-3/8" wide. Antique Vintage Hit Miss Water Wagon or Fire Truck Pump This listing is for an Antique Hit Miss Water Pump. This is a water pump off an old frame that I bought years ago. I just had the frame with the pump attached on the one end minus any tank or running gear. I assumed it was a water wagon frame. That red frame is long gone. I have never used this pump but is has always turned over and looks good. It has always been in dry storage. It does turn over(and over) without issues or problems. The bearings and journals all look good; and the pistons move up and down as they should. Everything is nice and tight as it should be. I do not see any wear in the bearings. Journals, rods, pistons, etc. You need a pulley on the shaft to turn it, it is that good and tight. It has never been frozen up. It is in really good condition for its age. The pulley ... moreshaft is keyed on both ends and is a 1-1/8 inch shaft. I do not know how it was driven of used. There are part numbers on the pump but no name brand. It is mainly cast iron construction and is very heavy at apprx 90 pounds. It is actually not very big but is very heavy. As it sets on the cement(just a little crooked as it leans back) in the pictures it is apprx 19 inches tall. Front to back is apprx 13 inches. From one end of the shaft to the other end is apprx 17-1/2 inches. So the main pump body width is less. Shipping only to a physical address. No P.O. boxes. It will be well packaged and fully insured. Antique Vintage Hit Miss This listing is for an Antique Hit Miss Gas or Fuel Tank on Stand This is an old gas or fuel tank for a stationary engine. It is a nice smaller size. The tank is held on the short stand by two straps. I took it off the stand to check the bottom of the tank. Which looks good. There is a fuel gauge on the one side and a petcock& sediment bowl on a different side. There is a drainplug on the bottom accessable through a hole in the stand platform. I have never used this so I do not know the condition of that fuel gauge. There is rust/rusting inside so it would need to be cleaned out. Small shallow dent on the top that is hard to see and I have include a photo to try to show this. The petcock& sediment bowl would be taken off for shipping. Shipping cost is based on the assembled tank on stand. Overall height with ... moretank on the stand is 34 inches to the top of the tank filler neck& cap(It is 30-1/2" just to the top of the tank without the filler neck& gas cap) Overall width on the stand is apprx 20 inches. Connecting Rod/Crank Shaft Guard for large Steam Engine/Stationary Engine
This auction is for a connecting rod guard for a large steam engine. I never saw the engine. Only the footing that was originally bolted to. I was told by the old timers it had 6 foot + diameter flywheels. It ran a saw mill, a cooper shop and a large freight elevator in southeastern MA and was broken up during the scrap drives during WWII. This guard has been hanging on my barn wall for 30+ years and its time to see if someone can use it. It is rusted but very solid. It appears to be in its original shape without any kinks or dents. It is 29 1/2 inches long and 10 3/8 wide at its widest point not including mounting flange. Local pickup is preferred and encouraged. No reserve. Bid to own, priced to sell. You are buying ONE(1) REPRODUCTION Briggs and Stratton Model Y Operating Instructions MANUAL and parts list. 14 pages. Soft carboard cover. Engine show price sticker is $4.00 Not a particularly good reproduction. the photos are not reproduced well but everything is readable. From the Web: The Briggs Model Y was manufactured from 1931 to 1945. approximately) It is rated at 1/2 horsepower with a 2.25" bore and 2.25" stroke. Unlike engine blocks of more recent manufacture. Engine blocks of this time period were constructed of cast iron. This model featured a horizontal crankshaft. The air cleaner on this engine used a horse hair element to filter out dirt. There were a number of different methods employed to start this engine. This one in particular uses a starter mechanism. Many model Ys were used as washing machine power plants and ... morethe foot operated system made the engine easier to start. especially where the ladies or children) of the household were concerned. This engine used an L-head design. also referred to as a flat-head) To save space the spark plug was oriented in a horizontal direction.
