Honda Generator Model E300 Very Clean but Not Running
I got this in trade from the original owner. A fine man born in 1917. Shot down over Hungary in WWII. He is unable to give me any history on this fine item. That said. I drained the really ugly gasoline from it and added new. The oil appeared to be ok and didnt do anything with that.Didnt change the plug.tried to fire it up per the original owners manual that's with it and couldnt often get traction, but when I did there was gasoline smell and some compression but was not able to get it running.I could take it to a shop and have them go over it but I have a strong feeling that whats wrong with it isnt much.the pull cord would usually have no traction if that helps in any decifering of the firing issue.I am certain this has set for better than 20 years without running, if not more. The case is in really good shape with very minor scratching.no ... morerust or denting. Fotos should show well the condition. The condition of the case and the engine area lends me to believe this has few hours on it.I could be wrong but dont think so. I believe with minor tinkering this will run well for the new lucky owner. But. Do not promise that. This is sold as is. Without any promise of condition or in fact that it will ever run again.if that doesnt work for you all, in two weeks or so I'll take it to a shop and we'll do it all again at a different number, cuz then I'll have a beautiful case and in running condition.

I got this in trade from the ORIGINAL OWNER. A fine man born in 1917. Shot down over Hungary in WWII. This has been in Arizona since bought new and there is no rust whatsoever. Had this listed in"not in running condition" for a couple of weeks and then thought I'd give it another attempt at starting and what a surprise for me it fired up fairly quickly and was rough running for abit but ran smoothly after that.you can read my expired listing if you wish to get some info about that. Case is in excellent shape with only minor scratching and no rust whatsoever. None of the scratching is indented.there is a miniscule tiny tiny indentation on lower bottom front. Fotos should show well the excellent condition. I believe this is the best Honda E300 Generator that has been offered on ebay(ok. One of the best) with the condition of the ... moreexterior and the obvious, but unknown, low hours. I let the engine run for 20 minutes. Two different times. It operated well with all its knobs and functions in working condition. There was no air filter element when I got the generator and there isnt one now. Original small blue and white owners manual included. One thing that will need to be tended to is that I cant often get traction on the pull rope. But when I do there is compression and it fires quickly. In my first listing I was unable to get traction very often and engine wouldnt fire, but does now. Again, it takes some time for pull rope to get some teeth, but it fires well once it does. Fluids drained before excellent packing and insured shipping by ups.

Honda EU3000is inverter generator, which has seen very little use/has very low hours, has a brand spanking new(purchased 2/1/2013) AGM battery installed/on-board, fires up on either/both the first turn of the key, or pull from the starter cord, then runs smoothly& very quietly. Functionality: On January 31st. 2013, I went to fire up this generator for the 1st time in approximately 6 months, discovered that the battery had died/gone belly up(the automatic starter/ignition did nothing) so I tried the pull cord/starter, she fired up on the first pull. I then tested( determining the battery was toast/dead) replaced the battery with a brand new AGM battery(purchased at O'Reilly Auto Parts; I will provide the original receipt for the battery[for warranty purposes] to the purchaser/buyer of the generator) after which ... morethe automatic starter/ignition also fired up the generator on the first attempt/turn of the key. Once running, the generator ran smoothly/beautifully& extremely quietly(in my opinion, these are the best generators on the planet) I have owned this generator for approximately 1 year& in this time, have utilized the generator only twice, although I did not purchase the generator new myself. When examining the internal/working parts of the machine(i.e; motor, etc) it appears/seems obvious to me, that this generator has been run for a very low number of hours in it's lifetime.
