Up for auction is this vintage Champion EXTRA LONG SPARK PLUG! This is a Champion 32 plug and the complete plug measures 4-3/16" long. From the bottom of the hex it measures 2-1/8" to the tip of the electrode. Plug takes a 15/16" hex wrench. I am not sure what it fits but was told it was old Hit n Miss or old maytags or may fit many old motors. The plug looks great and I am not sure it was ever used/ I would guess by looking in the bottom that it was not. Great Old usable and Collectable plug. Mixer For Small 1 - 2 HP Sattley Hit & Miss Engine
Here we have a cast iron carburetor for a small size hit and miss governed engine. I know I`ve seen this carb on engines but I just can`t place it, that happens when you get older I guess! The throat is 7/8" and the mounting holes are 2 1/4" between centers. The choke plate is frozen, but the needle valve turns freely. It has no breaks, welds, or repairs on it. I`ve been informed that it fits a 1 1/2 HP New Sattley engine, the hit and miss one with solid flywheels. Possibly other small Sattley or Nelson Brothers? engines also.

Old IHC Famous Titan Hit Miss Gas Engine Brass Camshaft Oil Cup Steam Tractor
This is an extremely hard to find original hinged lid#2 brass cup that was standard equipment on the International Harvester Famous and Titan engines to oil the cam shaft. It is in good original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 1 1/16 inches in diameter and about 2 1/4 inches tall. It has 1/4 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape. The only faults that it has is some light wrench marks on the hex but they are not too bad. I've included a photo of the page in the IHC parts book that show this original oil cup. I believe it is factory equipment on all of the horizontal engines from 2 1/2 to 25 hp. These hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one for an authentic restoration here's your chance. Old Lunkenheimer Mockingbird 5 Inch Fire Alarm Steam Whistle Hit Miss Gas Engine
This is a pretty nice original and VERY hard to find Lunkenheimer 5 inch fire alarm steam whistle. They are made similar to a Mockingbird but are a bit different and were used on early fire engines back in the day. It seems to be in good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is a rather large whistle and is about 26 inches long overall. It is marked with the Lunkenheimer name and has a 1892 patent date on the other side of the body. The slide moves freely. This whistle has 1 1/2 inch pipe threads. The dome is in great shape with only a few very minor dings. I believe this whistle could be plumbed up to steam or compressed air and used just the way it is. Both the slide and the valve have short cables attached to use it. These larger mockingbird whistles are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets ... moreand really turn some heads when they are polished up and displayed at the shows! Hit & Miss engine crank shaft and 2 flywheels- 1 1/4" shaft- 18" diameter wheels
I don't know what engine this was from and couldn't find a name on it anywhere. The crank shaft is 1 1/4" in diameter and 20" long. The two flywheels are 18" in diameter and 1 1/2" wide. One flywheel is grooved for a v-belt and one has a chunk of cast iron missing near the crank shaft. Because of the size and weight. I am only offering free local pickup.

Magneto Conversion for John Deere E Hit Miss Gas Engine Mag Ice Cream Spark Plug
This is a FULLY rebuilt Conversion Magneto to fit the John Deere 1.5& 3 HP Type E Engines. We convert the engine from the original low tension magneto-ignitor set up to High Tension spark plug ignition. Gear driven just like the original. Many of these old John Deere Engines are missing their original Ignitor and Magneto or needs extensive repairs which can make it very costly to set the engine back up to run. With this conversion set up we can cut the cost to get the engine running by almost half. There are no modifications to the engine at all. So the engine can be refitted back to original with no problems if you should ever choose to. You simply set this mag in place using the original bolt holes and the original size and length bolts. Bolt the spark plug plate to the Ignitor location. The same mag fits both the 1.5 and 3 three HP ... morejust a different gear for each. The Mags get anything needed. No short cuts. New Cap, Points, Condenser, Coil. And anything else it may need. Two Year warranty against defects in workmanship and or the new or used parts in this mag. Miss installation Voids the warranty. INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL: First if you have any of the old ignition parts in place remove them. To remove the old magneto first remove the two screws that fasten the mag plate gear cover. Then remove the crankcase cover. Now remove the governor cover screws and the governor cover. Under. Or on the bottom of the governor housing which is what the governor cover bolts to there is a 1/4" pipe plug pointing down. Remove it and a pin should slide out allowing the hook up lever to be moved out of the way to allow easy access of the two bolts that hold the Mag in place. You may need to remove the Cam follower as well. You will use the original bolts to mount the replacement magneto. If you do not have the original bolts get some so that when the bolt is placed in position there are three threads extending above the housing. It has the original cast iron handle on it with a part number of G78A casted into it. This would look good on an old engine and it would even look good as a spare on the shelf. Old Jackson Hit Miss Gas Engine Sales Brochure Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler NICE!
This is a really neat and pretty scarce original sales brochure for the Jackson gasoline engines made by the A.W. Straub Company in Chicago. Ilinois. It is in excellent condition and measures about 6 x 9 inches and is a fold open brochure. It shows all of the features of the engines and also has all of the specifications for them. The brochure has a rough edge along the open side but this takes nothing away from the information it contains. I have seen and owned a lot of original sales literature for early engines but I've never seen this particular piece. Jackson paper just doesn't turn up very often. It would be a great addition to your early agriculture literature collection especially if you have a Jackson engine! Catalogs in this condition don't turn up very often so don't miss it. Old American Lubricator 1/3 Pint Hit Miss Gas Engine Oilfield Oiler Steam NICE!!
This is a very hard to find original American Lubricator 1/3 pint oiler. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that the glass is broken. Replacements are available quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. The oiler has both original wood knobs on it. It has 3/8 inch threads that are in excellent condition. There are VERY minor wrench marks on the mounting hex. Everything seems to work as it should. The oiler has very nice original patina and would look great on an original engine! It has a vent tube inside the reservoir which means that it was made to lubricate the cylinder of a gas engine. The oiler stands about 9 1/2 inches tall overall. These 1/3 pint oilers are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off very nicely. The ... morepictures tell the story on this one. FAIRBANKS MORSE BLOW TORCH HIT & MISS STATIONARY ENGINE PRE-HEATER
This Fairbanks Morse pre-heater blow torch is for display only. It has the desirable vertical burner. The burner has been repaired but still has some minor cracks. It is in otherwise good condition and will look real nice next to a restored engine or just on a shelf. This torch can be found on page 184 of the Blow Torch Collectors Association publication"VINTAGE BLOWTORCHES" The torch includes the original wrench for removing the pump assembly for filling the tank. The wrench does not fit over the handle. I assume this was done so the wrench would not get lost. It will slip over the pump assembly when the pump assembly is removed. Old McCORMICK DEERING Antique Hit & Miss Stationary Engine Special Tool
Old McCORMICK DEERING Antique Hit& Miss Stationary Engine Special Tool. Great to display with your vintage engine tool kit at engine shows. A special tool for removal and installation of the connecting rod bolts on McCormick Deering single cylinder gas engines and others that have an enclosed crankcase. The tool is a forging with a square shank and a 5/8 inch socket opening on one end and 11/16 socket on the other. Use an adjustable wrench on the square shank to turn the wrench. The 11/16 Inch end does not fit the 1 ½ HP McCormick engine– might fit the 3 HP engine but we don’t have one of those to test it on. Often furnished with the engine. This tool is unmarked.
