The fuel pump needs to be rebuilt so I am running it from a fuel tank directly to the carburetor. This is also setup to run on propane. It turns the DC generator with surprizing ease to light up the five small incandescent light bulbs at 3 to 4 Volt. The engine is equipped with a displacement steam oil lubricator and a steam/oil separator will be included( chuff pot) The DC generator is equipped with a Volt meter(5 Volt) a knife switch and lamp post. The boiler size is 2-1/4 inch diameter- length 6 inches. The silver soldered Copper boiler has a through flu and re-heating tubes. Here is a very interesting Vintage motor generator type 31.The motor was use by a car garage years ago to test dynamos after they were repaired for customers and as a lighting generator with a home built switchboard. Running with a 1 1\2HP stationary engine. It would also charge a battery. Used yeas ago by a garage for testing dynamo. The Stationary engine would turn the dynamo which if working would send power to this motor generator it would start spinning and give a read out to the switch board, and could also charge a battery and light. I got this from a good friend whose grandfather who was quite the tinkerer passed away my friend is in his sixties and remembers his grandfather and him playing with it when he was a child. The# 48-A is stamped on the mounting bracket and says Paid in USA July 17th 1894 on the other plate, it still has a water transfer decal from Western electric on one of the magnets and as I found out it will still shock you pretty good! You must gently pull the rope until you feel it engage the flywheel and then give a sharp pull. The problem is the flywheel has only two engagement points in a 360 degree circle for the recoil to engage. If the recoil travels 170 degrees and slams into the engagement post on the flywheel- bad things happen. Picture of the generator is to show you what the part came from to aid in part identification and the generator IS NOT included!
