This Ungar desoldering station is in very good condition and works perfectly. It requires an air source of about 60 psi to create a vacuum by venturi effect. A vacuum solenoid is activated by the button on the handle. The heated tip can be set to the temperature desired for the particular application. Tips with various port sizes are readily available on eBay. The tip on this unit has been used a bit so I am including a new tip. Its important to tin the new tip before use. Note: there is some tape residue on the top surface where an instruction card had been attached. If you are frustrated and dissatisfied with the spring-loaded desolder sticks that are difficult to hold steady as the plunger pops up and not easy to position while heating the solder joint with a soldering iron. This may be the solution. The handle is light and easy to contact ... moredirectly at the joint and will remain rock-steady in position while lightly pressing the button to activate the vacuum solenoid. The only maintenance required is making sure the tip is well-tinned and the inner chamber is cleaned of spent solder as needed. Pace MBT soldering rework desoldering station sensatemp? soldr-x-tractor
This is a used PACE MBT soldering rework station controller. I bought it a while back with my soldr-x-tractor desoldering iron. But have since moved that to a dual station unit and no longer need this. The only thing that needs work on this is that the vacuum pump inside occasionally sticks from lack of use, if I poked the cam with my finger it would start spinning fine. It probably just needs to be lubed up or the o-ring replaced. I mainly used it with a soldering iron, so it didn't bother me. There are a few screws missing from the front/ back of the unit. Only the controller itself is included no irons or other accessories, sold as-is no returns. I only ship international through the ebay program and all items are sold as-is no returns due to shipping costs.

This works well. I did not use it that much because it was my back-up unit. The box in the first picture is for the desoldering attachment. One of the extra tips is more narrower for desoldering parts like IC's that have a tighter area between leads. The other spare tip is the same size as the one on the desoldering attachment.
