Haake FE Heated Water Bath Circulator - Works
This is a heated circulator for closed-loop systems such as jacketed containers. It has a heating element that is adjustable between 0-1000W. The thermoregulator tube on this unit is not working. However. I believe that you could easily hook up a digital temperature controller to the cable that goes into the circulator. The heater is on when the contacts are open. I tested that the circulator heats and pumps water. The pump is strong and pretty quiet. It heated cold water up to 120 deg. F within about 2 minutes. It would certainly have continued to heat it more. I don't know the maximum operational temperature of this, but the original thermoregulator adjusted up to 100 deg. C. Cosmetically, the only issues with this are the scratches visible on the base. All the metal is clean and bright, and the inside of the tank is very clean. Ebay Template Lost-Wax Process Hot Water Bath This is a working ex-dental laboratory hot water bath. It was originally used in a dental laboratory for melting wax that was used to model dental crowns. Bridges, etc, which were then cast in gold via the lost-wax process. I have used it since then for jewelry-making purposes via the same lost-wax process. Heat control is a simple OFF-1-2-3 rotary knob(ie. Off-Low-Medium-High) with a red jewel light on top to show when the unit is turned on. The white enameled water bath pan is removable from the chromed base that holds the heating elements. The control knob is bidirectional for heat control. This dental laboratory hot water bath was manufactured by Hanau Engineering Company. Buffalo, NY USA, and is rated at 4amps/110VAC. Underneath it is marked as being model CH-1. Condition notes: The detachable ... moreelectric cord has been misplaced. It simply plugs into the built-in socket on the back of the unit(see second photo) Then into a wall outlet. If I can find it in time I will certainly include it in the shipment, but if it doesn't turn up you will have to replace it with a similar extension or appliance cord. Since the unit is rated at only 4amps max, any standard 15amp outlet(and cord that fits) works fine. The wax pot is adjustable in height. But I have also misplaced the rod it mounts on. This is a simple short threaded rod that screws into the threaded hole(visible in top corner of bath in photos) then the wax pot slides onto the rod and is clamped in place with a thumbscrew. Any hardware store sells this type of threaded rod very cheaply. Although cosmetically very nice for this vintage.
