What used to take several runs at different temperatures can now be completed in just one run. When the gradient function is not in use the Peltier controlled block offers precise homogeneity. When I first tried to get it to start cycling, by pressing the"Start" button, selecting a cycle program, and pressing the"Run" button, the display stated that the cycle would begin when the cover reached 103°C. I left it on for a couple hours, but the cover never quite reached 103°C, so I assumed the system was broken, but then I opened the cover to get a picture of the heat block, and all of a sudden, with the cover opened, the cover reached 103°C, and the cycle started running. It successfully ran through both cycle programs that are saved in the system(one of which is 35 cycles long) but each time I had to open the cover until it reached 103°C, and then close it back up once the cycle began. However, this is the extent of my testing of this system, and it is being sold as-is. It features a Dual 384 Well Interchangeable Block, as shown.
