You are bidding on a used MOLECULAR DEVICES SpectraMax Gemini XS Microplate Reader Fluorometer. This unit was removed from a working environment and is in good cosmetic shape. When I initially powered this unit on. It whet through self calibration with no error codes. However, the unit sat a few months on the shelf in the box and when I went to power it on again, I received the error code# 323. This means the Zenon Lamp is weak and will need replacing. I was told by an MDS technician that sometimes, when a unit sits idle too long dust collects on the lamp and can cause this error code to register. So, I would say best case scenario, the unit just needs internal cleaning and calibration and worst case scenario, the lamp will need replacing which costs about $600.
