This Hewlett Packard Gas Chromatograph. Model 5890A, came from an active research lab and was use in conjunction with a mass spectrometer detector(HP Mass Selective Detector) The unit was tested before listing it on eBay and is in good working condition. There are two(2) injector zones(split& splitless injectors) and both zone heaters work. The column oven works as does the fan. The unit does not any detectors installed. It does have a column. An Alltech 60 meter X 0.25 mm X 0.25 micrometer AT-5 Stationary Phase which was tested and working. Also included is a GPIB cable and a remote start cable. HP Agilent 6890 Series Gas Chromatograph System
During the inspection. The HP 6890 GC showed to be setup for hydrogen, when I changed the settings to helium, the unit powered on successfully, the fan ran& the oven heats. When I lowered the oven temperature setting, the unit automatically opened a vent in the back& cooled itself down to that temperature; then the vent automatically closed. No further testing has been done, except what has been mentioned& what you see in the pictures.

I feel pretty good about the prospects of the pump being functional. When I hit the PRIME button it ran the indicated pressure up to 82PSI. And when I finally selected Method 00, the only one that appears to be programmed in, I was able to start it if only just briefly for a few pictures. I get the impression that it was used sparingly.
