Zimmatic 3/4 hp centerdrives
This ad is for 6 centerdrives. These centerdrives come off a running pivot. I replaced all seals and filled with fresh 85w/140 gear lube. I've tested all stators. Checked bearings, gears and cases. Everything is in good condition. These centerdrives mount on other brands of pivots. I'm a certified zimmatic service pro technician so these centerdrives have been fully inspected. Zimmatic Pivot Irrigation Wheel Drive Gearbox-UMC 725 Extreme Duty, Rebuilt
You are purchasing 1-Rebuilt UMC 725 Extreme Duty. 50-1 Ratio Zimmatic Wheel Drive Gearbox. This gearbox has the multi-mount bolt mounting pattern. It will fit most brands of Pivots. Top-O-Texas Equipment Pivot Irrigation Gearbox Rebuilders Top-O-Texas Equipment(TOTE) rebuilds center pivot wheel gearboxes. Center drive gearboxes and center drive motors direct to the end user(no dealers in the middle) Center Pivot gearboxes are built in China using low grade Chinese bearings. Races and seals. TOTE’s rebuilt gearboxes utilize your housing. Bull gear and worm gear all of which are usually in good condition. We replace the Chinese bearings and races with Timken parts and we replace the inferior Chinese seals on the input shaft(2-each) and the output shaft(1-each) with the NI TracSeal which is a radial seal allowing the inner face(fits tight on ... morethe rotating shaft) to turn with the shaft while the outer face is stationary in the housing. The seal faces that turn against each other are inclosed inside the seal housing and are not exposed to the elements. Most wheel gearbox failures are due to failed seal(s) allowing the lubricant to drain out and the bearings on the input shaft fail and lock the gearbox down resulting in the entire pivot system shutting down until a replacement gearbox is installed. The Chinese oil seal inner face remains stationary while the input shaft turns inside it. This type of seal in this application is a recipe for failure due to the exterior dirt and moisture mixture acting like sandpaper between the seal face and the shaft. The shaft seal wears out quickly and the shaft developes a groove and allows the lubricant to leak out while allowing the moisture and the grit to enter the interior of the gearbox and then it’s only a short time until a failure occurs. No lubricant plus sand and water on the bearings and gear teeth is a recipe for a total failure. Our NI TracSeals remedy this design flaw.
