This is a wonderful piece of firefighting apparatus history. Dating from the late nineteenth century or early twentieth century. The gilt piece measures two inches by two and a quarter inches and features the image of a piece of fire apparatus with the name"Hancock" on it. I am not sure if it is a hose reel or a pumper. 100 Gal Spray Rig 5.5 Hp Honda & Pump 200 ft Hose on Reel
I was operating this rig from the back of a Ford Ranger Pickup. Just fit in under a cap. It also has a Gravity Drop fill pipe that I removed in order to get the rig out of the pickup without removing the cap. I have used this rig seasonally for 7 or eight years. The pump has been replaced and works without leaks. The Honda Motor needs a new pull rope but still starts as is and runs smoothly. We have a second rig with a similar but smaller Honda that we have been running for 15 years wit no maintenance except oil changes. This is a pickup in person only item so you can see it and start the engine yourself. The rig is in my garage and on horses just the right height to be easily slid into the back of your truck. I will include a gunjet spray adjustable nozzle for the hose which may or may not need new washers. The spray handle/nozzles cost ... moreabout $100 new. If you need a spray rig. This is a workhorse. A similar spray rig from Oldham with a 5.5 Briggs and Stratton costs over $3000.00. Another rig from Northern with a smaller Honda Engine and Smaller Hose Reel is $2000.00.

Stop mechanism works well. Cast iron mounting foot can be rotated at 90 degree increments to set the reel however you need it so the hose pays out properly. Vintage steel fire hose reel with fabric fire hose and brass nozzle and coupler- The reel is 27" across- It has mounting attachments on it- The hose is marked"THE GENERAL DETROIT CORP.GENERAL BRAND-DETROIT MICH. TESTED 300 LBS.2-47" The hose has some soiling spots on it that will probably clean off.
