After so many other waterproof cameras.that weren't really all that. I finally purchased this one on 03/10/2011 at Bestbuy. As you can see on the receipt, I paid $329+$34.99(insurance)= $386.88 with taxes. And yet, not a penny I regret from this purchase. Needless to say, I had no need to use the insurance and the camera is operating today, just as intended from factory. This is a real"tough" camera. All my prior others were just weak. The one only thing you must add, is a floating wrist band. I once dropped in the sand(at the beach, not the dessert, LOL) and it tooks us over an hour to find it. It is heavy, sturdy, and it just doesn't float. We just upgraded to the new Tough TG-1. And the only and main difference is the LED display. Yet, I still doubt the thoughess of the TG-1.
