A nice silver plate fork. The only mark I can find is"Master Silverplate"on the back. I'm sure it is a"mark" for a better known manufacturer(Rogers? The fork itself is 7 inches long. The piece measure 6 1/2 inches(16.5 cm) wide and is 8 1/2 inches(21.5cm) tall. The salt dishes are pressed glass with a deep scalloped. Crown top rim. The glass salt dishes are attached to a silver plate base with four ball feet. This base is silver plate over copper. The side of the base is hallmarked with two marks, these marks are quite worn. The salt cellar is in very good condition. But there is a considerable amount of rosing to the silver plate. Please see the many photographs. There is no reserve. Two beautiful silver-plated serving pieces One from 1881 Rogers"A1" in the GRECIAN pattern. Ca. 1915. Second"bonus" butterknife from R.C. Co. In MANCHESTER 1923, has Gothic S monogram. One(1) 1881 Rogers master butter-knife. Twist-handle Approximate length = 7 1/8" Pattern features gorgeous Grecian-keys motif. In very good vintage condition. Only minimal signs of use; tiny nicks. Surface scratches, scuffs. One very small spot noticeable on blade. No disposal damage. No evident plate loss, no monogram. Beautiful vintage patina. Second butterknife is by R.C. Co. Also twist-handle, about the same size. Has good clear"S" monogram. In Gothic script. Manchester 1923 pattern is compatible with the 1881 Rogers' Grecian 1915. However. This second butterknife has stains, plate-wear along the edge, and more noticeable ... morescuffing on the blade. I am really just throwing it in as a bonus. The handle is very nice. So perhaps the blade could be re-plated, or the handle used for a crafted jewelry project. Hand-polished, may have some tarnish upon arrival. Please see all photos. Master butter knife approx. 7 1/8" long. Minor surface scratches from age/ usage. The butter knife is in very good, used condition with very minor wear.
