It was Seiko's first to be offered with the intent of computer connectivity. No accesories or keyboard or terminal was included. In the early'80s. The public had a wide variety of computer architectures to choose from. The RC-1000 was compatible with several: the Apple II, II+ and IIe; the Commodore 64; IBM PC, PCjr, and IBM PC compatibles; NEC 8201; Tandy Color Computer, Model 1000, 1200, 2000 and TRS-80 Model I, III, 4 and 4p. Each watch shipped with a black Interconnecting Cable and a 5 1/4" floppy diskette or(data cassette) containing Data Transmission Software for one computer platform. If you owned more than one type of computer, we presume you'd need to buy ... moreanother RC-1000 that included the appropriate software, or perhaps Seiko sold floppy disks for each platform separately. Only very light scratches on crank surface ends and seat post and pedals. Original pedals have been removed to prevent further scratches. Paint is an 8.5 out 10 simply for it's age. it has seen a little touch up and light wear marks from hanging on the wall. But make no mistake it still turns heads. No dents or frame damage. Beautiful NOS ultegra stem. It has Nitto bars covered in Velo Orange black Elkskin. Dura Ace English Bottom Bracket is in the case with the original paperwork and pedals. Ultegra Italian BB is on the bike. It also has a very nice San Marco Regal saddle(old school w the cast al rails) Comes as it looks w race day pump. Included with all of this is the elusive Seiko 5m43 kinetic sports 150 watch that came with the gruppo and has the 25th logo on the face. I could not resist wearing the watch, so although nice, it has some light scratches on the bezel and the leather band is worn. Also has the brand new lithium capacitor that when fully charged will run it for 6 months. The wheels are laced to Mavic open pro rims and I will say the ride is superbe. Yes you read correctly I did ride the bike. Who could resist? Not I. Usually only on the strand here in S California on Sunday afternoons. Deep saturated color and bleed through to verso. A solitary bluebird perches on a branch at daybreak. WHO WAS ROBERT O. MULLER? Robert O. Muller’s love affair with Japanese prints began one day in the 1930s. When as a student in New York City he spotted a Hasui in a gallery window, and immediately arranged to purchase the print. As a newly wed in 1940 he went on a print shopping tour to Japan with his wife where he met the shin hanga publisher Watanabe Shozaburo and Watanabe’s stable ... moreof artists including: Kawase Hasui. Shiro Kasamatsu, and Ito Shinsui. He also met and befriended Hiroshi Yoshida. After WWII. Muller continued to deal in Japanese prints, but he was also an avid collector with a keen eye for good art. Although the Muller Collection is best known for shin hanga. Mr. Muller also collected late nineteenth century prints and good reproductions of famous Edo masters. When Mr. Muller passed away on April 10. 2003, he had left possibly the largest and finest collection of 20th century Japanese prints in the world, and the question of what would become of his notorious collection was a major topic among Japanese print collectors. The finest 20th century prints from his collection were given as a gift to the Sackler Gallery of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. and an exhibit was mounted. Other portions of the collection were sold at auction and still more remains with his heirs. Several books have been published about the collection.
