BUBBLES& RARE SHAPE(No. 12) This float is approximately 11 inches in circumference which is about the size of a softball. It is made of hand blown glass. This is a Japanese fishing float that was actually used and has spent its life at sea. It has been picked out of hundreds of beachcombed floats to offer because of its unique qualities and characteristics. Its thick heavy glass contains impurities. Inclusions and bubbles that are intrinsic to the Japanese manufacturing process. It is in good and sound condition with the normal wear one finds on fishing floats that have survived years in the ocean. The float is a blue-green color. Vintage Polaris Spindle Pair Late 60's early 70's?
I found a set of spindles laying around that I won't need. I believe they are late'60's Polaris Mustang or Voyager etc. The stem is 6 1/2" long as shown in the picture. They have been sandblasted and sealed with automotive grade epoxy primer. The splines are in great shape. One was taped off and has a little surface rust on it. This would be a great piece to finish a restoration or just for spare parts.
