I don't fully understand why Shimano spec'd this 30+ year ... moreold bottom bracket with the longer center section.other than to assume the cups must've have been thinner walled(possibly to save on weight)so the complete unit would still properly seat in a frame's bottom bracket shell spec'd to the 68 mm standard. T his Authentic vintage glass fishing float was found on Hokkaido Island of northern Japan. Float with AN INTACT SPINDLE running from the seal button to the base. Rivermouth' symbol/ mark on the seal button. Float measures 4.75" in diameter- 15" in circumference. No cracks or chips except those to the seal button as you would expect in a vintage float. The clock is from most probably the early 1960s I would say. I ran the clock for an hour and it keeps the time. The clock has been rewired as you can see in the pictures.The reason for this is I believe that long before the single battery wall clocks of today many older house had a electrical plug descending down the wall from the ceiling about 18-24 inches which was suitable for electric wall clocks. Also this way you did not have to see an electric cord running up the wall. This is why I think that the wire was changed. The wooden spindle spools are in great shape but some are loose and need to be tightened from the inside I do not want to attempt that. Antique TURNED SPINDLE, SPOOL painted WASH STAND or One Drawer Side Table 1800s
For sale is an antique wash stand from the 1800s-early 1900s. It has pretty turned spindle. Spool legs and towel racks, a scrolled backsplash, with one drawer. It measures 33" tall, and 28" wide X 17" deep at the widest points. It has been painted, so I'm not sure of the kind of wood it is made from. The bottom shelf is a bit warpy, but it can be removed, or permanently mounted, which would solve that problem. The towel racks were a little separated from the table at the front, so for safer, less expensive shipping I removed them. They can be quickly and easily re-attached with the existing hand cut nails, and replacement screws. The drawer opens and closes easily. Front Spindle, Bearing & Housing, and Pulley Assembly
This is a spindle assembly for a 28" Pioneer buffer. It has new bearings. 8.75" pulley, 1" shaft with 3/4" threads. The housing assembly will fit most anything on the market, the differences in manufacturers being basically the length of the shaft. In this case, 5 7/8" tip to tip, and 1 1/8" from the bottom of the threads to the bottom of the housing.

Mavic's specially designed bottom bracket requires personal courage. Real expertise, or professional installation, but will last you a life time. This bottom bracket is another variation of the floating style bottom bracket unit, this one is made to achieve very fine and minute adjustments. Installation requires that your bottom bracket shell is re-faced to make the shell faces perfectly parallel and chamfer the inner lip of the B/B shell slightly. The re-facing to make this B/B fit will require the elimination of the outer few threads inside the B/B shell. This is done to accept Mavic's special mounting rings that use a threaded compression fit. As the threaded aluminum lockrings are tightened. They compress 45 degree chamfered sides into the B/B fixing the bottom bracket in place.
