They're nice n stiff which helps provide support when standing up on hills, they ride very comfortably! Only real signs of wear are on the insides, the material has pilled a bit, and at the points of attachment for the cleats. A nice looking unit and very functional. As far as cosmetic condition. This unit was cleaned up, but it still has some spots of corroison in some areas. In some cases the pictures might look better then in real life. COIL VOLTAGE UNKNOWN; The coil markings are worn off so I cannot tell for sure what the coil coilage is. When testing it. It did not pull in properly on 120 volts, but it pulled in nice and strong on 240 volts, however it got hotter then I beleive it should have on 240 volts. It may be a 480 volt coil. Offered here is the cowling and recoil starter for a MTD 22" mower gasoline engine. This is a lightly used engine. can't say like new) 5.5 HP with the nomenclature numbers of 125K02- 0281-E1-040212-FB. I assume these to be Model, Code, Serial numbers. Hit a stump with this mower and bent the crank slightly. Still runs fine but isn't smooth, may be unsafe so I am parting out.
