Up for consideration is a beautiful working. Vintage Duncan Parking Meter that accepts 5 and 10 cent. 5 cents gets you a half hour and 10 cents get you and hour. It has a 2 Hour time limit and works accurately with both dimes and nickels. Unfortunately it does have the key with it but they can be made very cheap. I have done it several times. The meter is in good cosmetic shape for its age and perfect working condition. I come across these occasionally and this one is in great condition compared to others I have bought. The thick metal stock base measures 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" and has 4 holes for mounting(about 3/4" holes) It stands approximately 22" tall with stand and the fattest part if the meter is about 8" wide. IT WORKS(TESTED) This listing is for a vintage parking meter. This is a nice piece that likely dates back to the 1960's. The meter is a one hour limit meter with a coin slot that accepts nickels. Dimes and quarters. It has a solid cast aluminum body with glass panels over the meter. This one is currently working, and when you insert a coin the meter automatically spins and adds time(we believe this must have a battery in it, which is still powering the mechanism) It has a parking cost chart that shows it cost 5 cents for 5 minutes, 10 cents for 10 minutes and 25 cents for 25 minutes. There are some coins showing through the glass in the coin ... moreslot mechanism. These are commonly re-purposed as lamps, so this could be a good project for the handy types. This is a great piece for display and would look great in any bar, restaurant or man cave! Condition: This piece is vintage and used with some wear. There is no key included to open this up.
