Clean Mint- Sencore CRT Tester. CR 143 Champion Cathode Ray Tube Testing Television TV Radio] This tester us complete. It has the adapter with the 5 different connectors. The AC plug is flexible like new. The interior is very clean. All the switches. Dials, buttons are present; they are all in Near Mint condition. They fit tight and seem like they have had very little use. The exterior is also Near Mint. All hardware and metal emblem are firmly attached. This was extremely well cared for. The only real issue is a rectangular(1” X 5” area on the front that has a dull look to the finish. It looks like it may be residue from a sticker. I did not try to remove it. I will leave this for the new owner. The rubber stand on the bottom of the tester are all intact and in very good condition. Three of the rubber stands on the back are missing, one ... moreis intact. Sencore Continental 2(MU150) Dynamic Mutual Conductance tube tester works great and shows little signs of use. Original set-up book shows no wear at all and all sockets are original and all are good and tight. The MU150 is an unusual tube tester because it can measure the emission strength of the tube under test and also the Mutual Conductance(Gm) plus it has all the great features of other Sencore testers like super sensitive Grid Leakage Detection. Life Test, and Shorts Test! A few notes about how this tester works.besides giving a"Good" Bad" and" reading it also has a number scale which represents the% of the emission or Gm associated with the tube under test. It is both an isolation transformer and ac variac, adjustable from 0- 140 v ac output. Unit will handle up to 4 amperes of current. Many vintage ac radios did not use an internal transformer. Instead they wired one side of the metal chassis directly to the ac power coming in. You had a 50/50 chance that the grounded side was plugged in. Both you and your test equipment could possibly be exposed to the full 120v ac coming into the house with bad results. An isolation transformer solves this problem and is part of this Sencore Powerite unit. Another issue is that vintage electronics which has not been used for years(decades? I have used it for years for measuring output power of amplifiers. It will measure up to a 100 watts RMS in 2 ranges 0-10 watts and 1-100 watts. Has a built in Sine and Square wave Generator and outputs for a 2 channel scope. The internal dummy load is switchable 4. 8 and 16 ohms. The speaker leads store in the back along with the power cord. It comes with a copy of the factory manual. I will hook up a frequency counter and see if the alignment functions are working. I will add to auction any info I find out. The chrome on the case is still nice with just a little scuffing of the plastic case. It has the original cord and includes two manuals. One specific to this model and another one that is a general replacement for Mighty Mites. I plugged in a couple of different tubes to ensure that it works through the ranges, but have no way check calibration. It was one of the first DVMs to feature autoranging, thanks to the marriage of voltmeter and microprocessor technologies. No more constant fiddling with the range switch, remembering units of measurement, or where the decimal point goes. Other nice features were a programmable dB function, peak-to-peak, average and true RMS AC ranges, peak and null indicators and switch-selectable resolution of 3, 4 or 4 ½ digits.
