1930's Leeds & Northrup Model 4776 Resistance Calibrator Decade Resistor Box
This item is a Leeds Northrup Decade Resistor Box. Most likely manufactured in the 1930's or 60-70+ years ago. It still works great even after all that time. This fantastic piece of history would function perfectly as a conversation piece. Or on any electronics lab bench for"dialing-in" whichever resistance you are looking for, from 0.1-1111 OHMS! I have been collecting these items for many years so I have decided to sell all of my duplicates. This item was used in a university physics lab up until recently, and has been maintained and calibrated by our equipment curators, so it is in wonderful shape, and has been well cared for over the years. The multi-meter I used in the photo is the only one I have at home. It alternates between + or- 0.3 Ohms. Taking that into account you can see that the Decade Resistor box still functions ... morewell.

LEEDS& NORTHRUP 4210 1 Ohm Thomas Primary Resistance Standard. This is a rare unit. Housed in its original metal case. With original white foam lining. Measured value is within a few ppm of nominal. Guaranteed to be in excellent electrical condition. Terminals do not have any noticable wear, unit is aesthetically undamaged. This would make a great addition to a lab, as the Leeds& Northrup 4210 is considered a primary resistor. It has been used in oil baths previously for measurements, so there may be some small amount of oil film, and resistor is inside a ziplock bag within its case. It is very clean, and does not appear to have any grit or dirt.

Faceplate is very nice, no cracks or chips in meter lens cover. Powers on, but I have no idea if it works or what it does. Sold As-Shown. No appearent physical damage except for the items mentioned previously. I got this from an estate along with many other pieces of antique tube ham radio and test equipment. VINTAGE Leeds & Northrup Co Student Potentiometer with Wood Case
This is a Leeds& Northrup student Potentiometer with original case. It has the original instructions inside the lid and was manufactured in Philadelphia. It was designed for use with a Weston-type standard cell with an EMF of 1.018 V; under this condition it was direct-reading. Its slide wire and fifteen stepwise resistors could be used as two arms of a Wheatstone bridge. The case of the Potentiometer has a moderate amount of cosmetic damage but overall looks to be in good shape. The wood is good condition despite a few scratches and scuffs marks on the exterior box.
