The negative probe is missing the pointed tip, and one of the protective feet isn't original-even with all that, this is still an excellent, accurate, bullet-proof volt/ohm meter. If you like the original, US built Snap-on product, this is an excellent example of that storied tool line. I've had this since I was a Snap-on Dealer in the 80's, but I haven't turned a wrench in many years. The 1650B Impedance Bridge is a self-contained impedance measuring system. Which includes six bridges for the measurement of capacitance, resistance, conductance, and inductance as well as the generators and detectors necessary for DC and 1kHz measurements. Power is provided by four size D cells or an external power supply(not included) General Radio specifications: Capacitance is measured from 1 pF to 1100 µF. Inductance range covers 1 µH to 1100 H. Resistance range(AC or DC) 1 mohm to 1.1 Mohms. Conductance range(AC or DC) 1 mmho to 1.1 mhos. Accuracy for the capacitance. Inductance, resistance, and conductance is approximately ±1% Dissipation factor(D) at 1 kHz is 0.001 to 1(series C) 0.1 to 50(parallel C) The storage factor(Q) at 1kHz is 0.02 to 10(series L) and 1 to 1000(parallel L) An external oscillator and detector ... moremay be used to extend the bridges capability at higher or lower frequencies.Capacitors may also be externally biased up to 600V to measure the capacitance with voltage as many capacitors lose capacitance under voltage. The pix show a few minor case blemishes but the bridge works very well. Also shown is the measurement of my 1.000u standard capacitor, 991u and a DF of.0061, a very small error from the marked spec of 1.0001u@ 00554 and less than the spec amount. The insides and battery holder are not contaminated with battery acid as in many others and the dials work smoothly. Parts can be matched to each other closer than 1% using the meter deflection to match. Included with the 1650B bridge is an original General Radio paper manual and schematic with complete instructions on using the bridge along with bridge theory and parts list. The auction includes the 1650B bridge and manual. The 4 D cell batteries required to operate the bridge are not included. No other equipment seen in pix is included. Ship to lower 48 only.
