Heathkit GD-125 Q multiplier, No Reserve
This is a very nice Heathkit GD-125 Q Multiplier. I am selling it for a local ham who used it on his Drake 2B prior to his recent purchase of a Drake 2BQ. The 12AX7 tests good on my TV-7/D tube tester and the Q multiplier is well built. I certainly doesn't look like a 14 year old built it and may even be factory built. The cabinet is in remarkable shape to be nearly 50 years old without any rust on it. There are a couple of tiny shiny spots on the edges of the cabinet and all of the original knobs are present and in excellent condition. I'd give this a very conservative 8.5 on a scale of 10. Vintage Heathkit Model G-1 Signal Generator, clean, No reserve!
Heathkit G-1 Signal Generator. Dials and selectors feel good. Looks quite clean. Previous owner's name is written in Sharpie on top of the unit. I was unable to plug this unit in and test due to the fact that the power cord has dry rotted. I would definitely replace it before applying power to this unit. Heathkit G-1 Signal Generator The Heathkit G-1 provides RF output from 150 KHz to 34 MHz in 5 ranges. The dial has the third harmonic of the highest band calibrated to 102 MHz. The G-1 was obviously designed with surplus sealed capacitors with two of them prominently mounted on the chassis. The first high voltage filter cap is a 1 mF sealed cap. Tubes are 6SN7 as the oscillator and amplifier and 6X5 as rectifier. The 400 Hz modulation audio is generated by a neon relaxation oscillator fed to the grid of one section of the 6SN7. Here is a clean looking Heathkit Oscillosope Calibrator Model IG 4505 Unit powers up but is not working. I was in the process of checking the output voltages when I accidentally shorted the test leads of my Digital meeter together. There is no longer voltage output since this accident. Before the accident the voltages coming from the unit were correct. I popped the top off the unit and inspected it. There is still 145 volts DC coming from the power supply after the filter caps. There is a toasty looking 2 watt resistor after this point where there is almost no voltage. The resistor may be bad. Or possibly a Zener Diode is shorted. Either way, I don't have time to mess with it, so here it is for you to fix. The case. Knobs, and AC power cable are in great shape. Heathkit Audio Signal Generator SG-72A like SG-72 IG-72 & IG72A
Here is a vintage. All tube, Heathkit audio signal generator model SG-72A. This unit is identical to the IG-72A except from what I understand, the S denotes it was factory built. As you can tell from the faceplate silkscreen, the SG-72A was made after Schlumberger bought Heathkit. Other nearly identical Heathkit generators to this one include the IG-72 and the IG-9. This unit is very clean and very presentable in your shop. I touched up some paint chips on the black case and installed the banana jacks where a BNC connector was mounted. The banana jacks are not Heathkit originals. But look very similar. Because of its age, this instrument has some minor flaws. Note that the lettering in the area of the INT/EXT switch is slightly faded. There is some tarnish around the banana jacks. The meter face has some haze just above the adjustment screw, ... morebut the scale area is clear. These are just some of the more obvious flaws. Please take a close look at the pictures for more details. This generator is fully working. I calibrated it. But please note that my test equipment, though good enough for rock'n roll, probably wouldn't meet NBS accuracy. Case in point is my B&W Model 400 Distortion Meter which measured less than 0.1% distortion. But I bet my trusty 400 is not very far off. One of the pictures shows the scope trace of the actual output. Included is a bound copy of the IG-72 manual.

I've shown pictures from all sides and angles. You won't be disappointed in their condition. I brought the voltage up slowly with a Variac. And then tested the operation. The signal from both the high and low outputs is clear and noise free. The controls and switches all work smoothly. As you may know, these units each have a pair of Mullard 12AX7's. These tubes must run very cool, because the white lettering on the tubes make them look brand new. These are probably all original tubes, because they are labeled"HEATH by Mullard/ EC83/12AX7/ Made in Great Britain" I have one original Heathkit box, which I'll include if requested. According to the manual, the radio is solid-state using 23 transistors and 8 diodes. The cabinet is walnut-finished wood and uses two 5 1/4” speakers. It is powered by 120V AC. Dimensions are 19”W, 9-1/4”H, and 6-1/2”D. Assembled weight is 16 lbs. The radio was obtained from the estate of the original owner. We did a quick check of the large parts against the list in the manual. But did not open the sealed packages or inventory the small electrical and mechanical parts. Everything included is pictured. Heathkit IM-17 Solid State Voltmeter + plastic carrying case. The Utility Solid State Voltmeter IM-17 came on the market in 1967 and was produced until 1977. In 1979 the IM-17 was replaced by the IM-5217 and was produced until 1987. There is only minor differences between the two and it is mostly a matter of look and feel. This was my farther in laws and he wrote on the plastic case OFF? I don't know if this works or not. The batteries have been removed so there is no battery damage. pictures say the rest.

Heathkit IT-21 Tube Tester Must See 7868 6550 EL34 6SN7
This is a model IT-21 tube tester made by Heathkit. It is in excellent condition and is working very well. This will test 4. 5, 6, 7 prong older tubes, 7, 9, 10 pin miniature, octal, loctal, nuvistor, 9, 12 pin compactron, and pilot lights. Some of the tubes this will test are O1A, 6l6, 6550, 12AX7, 7591, 45, 50, 71A, 6SN7, and hundreds more. Notice the 3 tubes I tested with this tester. I even tested a known weak EL34 and it tested bad. All filament voltage selections on the switch were tested. The plastic window has come un-glued over the tube chart roll. I will include this if you decide to put it back on. Tester front panel shows a little normal wear. Case looks great. Unit is un-restored, and un-modified. Liquidating items excess to my needs. And taking up space. This is a nice working Heathkit IM-4110 digital frequency counter. Seems to work fine the couple of times I used it. Included is the hard to find 3 pin power cord. No input leads included. This is listed as parts or repair. Because listing it on E-Bay as"used" implies I will guarantee it to work. Heathkit IB-1101 frequency counter, working and warranted
I bought this Heathkit IB-1101 frequency counter in the 1970s. I put myself through college fixing stereo equipment. And this counter served me well for those years. College ended in'82 and I've had little use for it since. I powered it up and fed my signal generator into it. Although it is only supposed to be an 80 MHz counter. As you can see, it does count to 90MHz. I noticed as I increased the frequency that the counter is very specific about voltage levels- too little or too much and it quits counting. At 80 MHz, it was much more forgiving. I never had the manual. And never needed it. It comes with the probe shown, which is made by Dynascan(B&K Precision) and is switchable 1:1 and 10:1, by removing and rotating the probe tip. Also comes with the power cord shown. This is the old-fashioned type with three round pins, so it's ... morehard to find. I warrant that it functions. Although I don't warrant calibration- I don't know if the counter or signal generator needs cal. If they were both calibrated, it would have read 90.000 MHz. Shipping has gotten complicated- the lowest cost method to the West Coast is not the lowest-cost to the East Coast. So.
