This thing is massive; I included a standard 14 pin DIP in one of the photos for comparison, to show just how large this IC is. It’s practically bigger than my phone. The IC is drenched in gold… the entire package except for the lid is gold plated and the leads and internal connections are gold as well. I recently got three of these from a retired electronics engineer; one of which I removed the lid from to try and determine what they were.
