Being offered is is an original black and white photographic negative of Sacramento Northern Railway General Electric 44-Ton diesel unit No. 146. The view is a 3/4 shot of the clean and spiffy-looking unit taken at Sacramento. CA, on June 10, 1966. The unit was built in November of 1946, was sold to Chrome Crankshaft Corp. in July of 1971 and was re-sold to the Northwest Oklahoma Railroad in 1973. The negative measures approximately 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches, is well composed, properly exposed, and in sharp focus. Any lines and/or streaks that appear in the image are the result of the use of a low-grade scanner and are in the image alone. Not in the negative itself. Really fine portrait of this unit. Should make excellent prints.

The claim is noted as a major gold producer and it doesn't take much advanced mining knowledge to see why. The site is covered in dark. Oxidized iron and dark, lumpy gold ores usually attached to quartz. The high grade ore is easy to identify and there are tons of it, in the mine and around the mine in various staging areas. This is easy to process gold ore. Just break out the dark, good gold ores. Crush it, pan it and take your gold home. With good solitude, but easy access to a town with all amenities(and a great brewery) how can you go wrong? Historically this mine has limited information. However. The mine can support a full commercial operation or it can support a small miner working to make a living off the land. Mineral Content is excellent. Historical and USGS assays note the ores at just under 2 ounces of gold per short ton. Additionally there is noted major silver deposits. As a bonus there are a few sections of separated ores showing very good gold values. Already worked out of the mountain, these are ready to be pack out for processing, or to be crushed and processed right on the claim. Location is ideal for access. A well maintained road runs out to the town of Turret and just happens to pass within 1/2 mile of the Gold King. You can literally access the claim with a 2WD car. Perfect for weekend get-aways to work your mine and find some gold without packing up trucks and campers. With that in mind.
