Griphoist Tirfor Model TU-17 Manual Wire Rope Hoist, 25 foot cable, No Handle
If you have to move something heavy. This will do the job! I have sold a couple of Tu-28s here on eBay. But this one is a little smaller. This hoist has seen some use and it looks a little rough. But it still works. Any button that is supposed to move/lock does. The only shortcoming might be in the two hooks; the clips that close the opening need some work or replacement. Please scroll down through 11 pictures; text between some pictures. Yep. There's some rust but it doesn't stop the functionality of this hoist. You will probably want to open this up and lubricate it. Always be sure to use the prescribed cable. Everyone of these I have sold was made in Luxembourg. France. I couldn't make that out on this one. But I'm pretty sure that's true of it also. I didn't unspool the cable. But I'm pretty sure it's 25 ... morefeet. The others I sold were 50 feet and this one is shorter(and a smaller guage) The long handle stud shown above is where you would slip the long/lever handle on. I do not have the long handle to go with this. You could use some rust remover and a wire brush to take off the bulk of the surface rust if that was important to you. POLY ROPE HOIST PULLEY TACKLE LIFT VINTAGE- APPROX. 50 FT OF ROPE
Found in the barn of the old Pennsylvania farmhouse we recently moved into. I labeled it vintage. Because we think it's at least 20 years old, but there's no way to confirm as there seem to be no identifiers on the pulleys. As seen in the photos, there's a little rust on the forged metal but nothing that compromises the integrity or function of the system. The rope is somewhere around 50 ft. long(couldn't measure the extra rope in the pulley. It's still strong. The rope is around 3/8" It was still hanging in the barn over the area where tractors were worked on, but I see that it's also used in hunting, boating, etc. Nice find.
