Vintage High Relief Carved Panel- Woman w ith Birds- Circus Wagon Panel It is carved in high relief. Measures 24" x 24 ¼" Thicke st part of panel is 1 ¾" and carving ranges about an 1" deep. Large woman resting on a cane with one bird a t each should er and one at brim of her ha t. May be this wa s a trained bird sideshow act or something. Not sure how it was mounted but there are no hol es anywhere and back has no holes or signs of hanging wire. Panel is made from 2 12" boar ds t hat may be chestnut. Looks like it was rep ai nted a very long time ago. It is in as-found condit i on and I have not even cleaned it. There are 2 small flake chips on bottom left side corner. These are recent.
