Here's a used vintage Yale or Yale-Towne chainfall or hoist we received recently with some garage or workshop tool items. This one is a 1/2 ton spur gear type. We hooked it up to operate the chain and and the hoist seems to be operating properly. The hook at the top allows the hoist or chainfall to swivel 360 degrees as one would expect. This is a handy garage. Farm or barn tool for occasional heavy lifting requirement. It could use a little cleanup and some grease in the grease fitting would probably be a good idea but seems to be in good mechanical condition overall. We did notice some wear to the inside surface of the chain guide or guard piece caused when someone stands off center to the hoise then pulls the chain so that it rubs on the guide. The guide is still in structurally sound condition in this area but did want to mention ... moreit and show this area in the pictures. This is a hefty hoist that will weigh about 75 lbs when packed for shipping. It will be over the USPS limit so we'll be using UPS ground for the shipping service. They were right in both cases the clutch plate still has the numbers showing on it. This hoist sold for over $5000.00 new(according to CM factory Rep) and the GRAY Cyclone Model S is still the best made. It has a UNBELIEVEABLE lift of over 15 feet.

Up for auction is a used. Good working stainless steel chain hoist made by David Round& Son, Inc. Built in 2007. 2 hp motor with 10 ft of chain and remote control. I do not see a weight rating on this unit but I would assume it will pick up atleast 1000 lbs- possibly as much as 2000 lbs. It is custom built out of stainless steel and came from a pharmaceutical company that downsized. It is set up with rollers to be mounted on a 4-6" I beam. This mount can be easily removed so that you can mount your own system. Comes as shown in the picture. Item will have to ship freight. It weighs about 300 lbs. Will palletize and load free of charge.
