Used Nikonos IV-A Body Only Parts Or Repair Only Battery Cover Stuck Looks Good
Here is a Nikonos IV-A underwater film camera body only. Camera is in very good cosmetic condition but sold as-is untested as I can't get the battery cover off. It seems the previous owner had the same problem as there are marks on the cover where it looks like it was attempted before. The body around the cover looks fine but the cover itself has some marks. The cover unscews to a point but the O ring must be swelled as I haven't been able to get it off and I don't want to damage the body. The sync port cover is included. Unscrews and comes off just fine. Sold as-is for parts and not working. If you have experience with these or need parts for another Nikonos, this would be for you. NOS Pre-CBS Fender Jaguar Body *Once in a lifetime find*
This listing is for an incredibl y rare find. A never built up. Never finished Fender Jaguar body acquired in 1964. The backst o ry is simple and direct. Glenn Parker had an idea to make plastic shells that fit onto the backs of Fender guitars and would protect the finish from buckle wear. He approached Fender in 1964 with this idea and they made a deal. The Parker"Bodyguard" was born. Fender gave Glenn several bodies so he could make molds and bucks. The bodies appeared to be mostly rejects and ranged from rough outline blanks to full y finished bodies. Glenn chopped many up to make his bucks. But a few escap ed his handywork. This one and a completed Stratocaster were amongst the ones that survived and were nearly 100% complete. His estate was liquidated and last time I have seen the Strat body. They cleaned the marker off the ... moreface and sold it for $3500. I am no t sure what sidelined this one. It made it through the bleaching process just before being stained y ellow. I assume it was the seams coming apart that did it as the mineral stains on the back would have been acceptable for a custom color. The seams were apart so long. They co uld never be glued back tight as the wood actual ly shra nk. So I sealed them u p to s t op any futur e shrinkage. It is stable and if someone chose to. It could be sanded and put in service. Right n ow it is still as it left Fender in 1964. Sa me sanding and prep before paint. I make no guarantees about how it will perf orm as a completed guitar. I am selling just a never completed body. Over the past 2 5 years I have never enco untered another. I bought it with ideas I would just preserve it as is as it is currently one of a kind(there is another Jagua r he had out there. But it was a slab/blank, no routs) I think the price is fa i r and while I may consider less. It wont be drastically less. It costs nothing to keep it. However.
