A nice YALE Shop King model. 1/2 ton/1000lb capacity manual chain hoist; model BW-10; lifts 14' some dings in the ID plate on the hoist body, normal scratches, nice mechanical condition. As I'm sure you know, this has a continuous loop of chain that you pull on to raise/lower bottom hook. PLEASE NOTE: The lower hook. Which attaches to the chain, is missing, see picture) you will have to replace it. You are looking at a CHISHOLM MOORE One TON Manual Chain Hoist. This is a manual direct differential hoist which means you get mechanical advantage from the difference in circumference of the top chain pulleys. The differential on this is about 15:1 and the mechanical advantage is double that so 30:1. To lift 1000 lbs you need to pull with about 33 lbs of force. To get an inch of lift. You need to pull about 30 inches of chain. Shows less than normal signs of age and use(it has a little rust. But, nothing damaging) Stored in a"clean" and dry storage bin. Used infrequently in residential construction to set beams and pulled more than a few engines from trucks and cars. The best things about this Hoist is SAFETY. TRUST and ease of use.
